Coffee

Yeah my dinosaur lost the coolest custom ride on the trails a long time ago but I put it together to last me for a very long time. I picked all of the best components that were available at the time and built my bike except the wheels and I had some help installing the headset and fork. I knew my drive train would wear out quicker so I bought several sets to last me a while which I am glad I did because the industry no longer makes components for my archaic classic hardtail.:grumpy:

Eventually I will get out of the stone age and save up the +$4000.00 for my dream ride but all of these fun knives makes that very difficult.

I understand the pitfalls about saving for my dream ride. Way too many temptations siphoning cash away from my build but I just picked up a Santa Cruz Superlight 29 last week and have redirected some of my hard earned cash for upgrades. I'll try to get a coffee thread appropriate shot of it as soon as the upgrades are complete.
Till then, here's a cup of that organic Sumatra from my earlier post with some Spydercos I rounded up to put in a sale thread as soon as I can stage them properly for a photo shoot. Hopefully they'll sell quickly and help recoup some funds expended on the bike. Money well spent though. :)
The Sumatra was delicious! complemented the chocolate pie perfectly.

The adjustment kept moving unintentionally when I tried breaking it in with stale beans. I got frustrated and put it away until I get the urge for drip again.

One thing that I learned real quick was not to rest that glass jar on the rubber cup. Every time I did that the adjustment rings would come loose. I thought about putting a couple of
set screws in the rings, but it works well when I hold it without the jar touching anything. The mill is pretty heavy, but holding it up is good exercise. :D

There are a few videos on youtube, but I can't understand a word that the guy mumbles.

I tried several ways but the adjustment ring kept moving. I was thinking of using loctite next.:grumpy: Did you get the time to fix the knob/friction issue yet?
Mumbles. LOL!:D

No, after a few months of use it's loosening up by itself or maybe I'm getting stronger. ;)

Thought I'd give this a try.....

Daz Bog Russian Roulette

A unique blend of smoky French roasted coffee and a bright, full city roast. This full-bodied blend of light and dark roasts brings out the sweetness and great acidity of the beans and produces a deep smoky finish.

Good luck! You are taking a big risk drinking that, Comrade. :D

Name: EL Retiro.
Country: Chiapas, Mexico.
Beans: Bourbon, Caturra, Cataui and Typica.
Elevation: 1500-1700m.
"El Retiro is super sweet with hints of spice, cocoa, and citrus which makes this a complex and very exciting coffee. As an espresso, El Retiro comes to life. Complex and nuanced on its own while remaining anchored and delicious in milk."

Laconico Blast 2 and El Retiro.

Nice flipper Ben. Reminiscent of a few Elishewitz folders I had.

A cup of french roast that I will never buy again. With my Will Zermeno frikkie.

Thank you and nice mirror polish on that WDZ frikkie!

Brew and blade of the day! Laconico Blast 2 Ti. and El Retiro.

More green scales. ;)

Just got these toxic green Putman scales today for my S35VN exclusive.
The brew is my own blend of Mocha Java, Sumatra, and a dash of dark French roast for a bitter component. Delicious.

"I love coffee.

Just with lots of sugar and flavored syrup so I don't taste it."

- Hipster Guy

I love coffee. Used to hate it, then went to my aunt's place and she made me drink it every morning to help me get my sleep cycles get back in kick. I became addicted; now I can't live without the stuff.

The stuff I drink is espresso, sometimes with milk and sugar, other times without.

That's funny. When I lived in the PRK, I used to stop at 7-11 on the way to work for some coffee. The stuff was pretty bad and it took a fair amount of sugar and cream to make it drinkable.
I usually put a few packets of sugar and a couple of these little cups of half and half in mine. Quite often, I would see people put 10 or 12 of those half and half cups, 6 to 8 packets of
sugar and a lot of flavored syrup in theirs. I figured that they didn't like coffee, but felt weird just drinking sweetened half and half.

I saw this definition for a hipster the other day and thought it was funny: "Someone who kept their grandparents clothes, but lost their work ethic."

Grandpa didn't need no stinking flavoring!

I had to buy some pre surgery coffee. Mama doesn't work the grinder or the pot, so I had to make it easy on her! LOL! Peet's is slowly gaining a top 3 spot on my grocery store coffee list.
The fixed blade is a Garrison (one of BF's finest makers). The folder is my "best buy" knife Enlan EL01A.
