I found this in whole bean. It is pretty good in my press. All I do is add a tiny bit of Bailey's.....yum

Okay, fellas, you've inspired me to try other blends. Today I picked up some Peets Major Dickerson Blend. I have no idea if it's a good coffee or not, but I have to start somewhere. Should I use it in my drip maker or a coffee press, which I need to find.![]()
So i went to that pop up And it was some of the best coffee I've ever had. Guy roasts his own coffee in his garage and offers it 4 ways: espresso neat, espresso with milk ( slightly larger than a gibraltar), kalita hot and kalita cold. he uses a cool single group lever rancilio machine. If you have one of these "pop-up" coffee joints near you i would highly suggest going. I've never had espresso and pour-over with so much sweetness and richness.
So apparently target sells intelligentsia know

Grab a press.
Very inexpensive, more convenient, less maintenance, and a better finished product than a drip maker.
It might take a couple of batches before you get it where you want but in the end the payoff will be worth your efforts.
For a press I use a Bodum with a press grind.
Filtered (or better) water brought to a boil then taken off boil for a half a minute or so then poured into the press.
Then I put the screen in and push the bloom down about a third of the way.
Let it sit for 4 minutes then press to the bottom.
Ready to pour.
Add nothing.
If it doesn't taste good get another bean that you like. There are plenty of varieties out there, you'll find one that you like.
Personally I like a medium roasted Costa Rican or Nicaraguan in my press. I save the medium dark to dark for espresso.
