Coffee

I used a press, but not sure what you mean by where. The point is, it's supposed to have chocolate overtones, and I'm just not getting that. it's a pleasant coffee, but not worth the extra expense, imho. Still, glad I tried it. I think I like Peete's MD better.

Just curious as to whether you prepped it or purchased at one of their shops, for my own future reference. ;)

I've had their Mocha Java as well and had good results with it at home but as with anything organic there will be some batches that don't measure up I'd expect.
That and the blender could have been having a bad day.

Oh, now I understand. It was store bought. Truth be told though, I've rarely had a cup of coffee prepared in a press that I fully liked. I may be doing something wrong, I don't know. But heck, how can you mess up such a simple process? Put your coffee in, pour in hot water and wait.

Temperature, water filter, water volume, amount of coffee, grind type, beans used.........

:D

That's a really appealing knife, and I like it. Here's one I finished recently, and one I will keep as my small game knife. I hope you guys don't mind my showing it.

Very nice David.
Looks to have a good balance between style and utility with that choil.
I'll have to check out more of your work.

First priority around here since it's BladeForums (not CoffeeForums) is to post up some knives in this thread. After all, that's what were here for right? ;)
Keep 'em coming!

What about a 2015 David Stifle Blade Forums "coffee thread" knife. :D

Nice, looks like a handy knife. I wouldn't mind taking that out into the forest. I've made a bunch of knives using 1075, a really good steel, takes and keeps a keen edge and a good hamon too, although not as good a hamon as 1095 or W2. Anyway, I'm just being talkative here. Good score.

I wanted to try a nice Scandi grind with a convexed edge. The grip is very nice. The palm swells are just about perfect. It handles like a high dollar custom. The sheath needs some work though. If the knife isn't inserted at the perfect angle it gets hung up. That being said.....You can't beat it for the price.

I am happy! I got 2 bags of my favorite coffee!! :D

I bought some Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee today, it came highly recommended and I'm eager to try it out in the morning. Let you guys know how it turns out soon.

I had Trader Joe's Blue Mountain. It was pretty good stuff. You, sir, are in for a treat!

I make press coffee for my coworkers at work, and on of my coworkers brought in some of her preferred local roaster's blend, going to brew some up right now at work!

It's Booskerdoo coffee co. from Monmouth Beach, NJ. She lives in Red Bank NJ down by the shore herself and usually takes a ferry to downtown Manhattan.
