Cold Steel products YOU want to see?

If you put the American Lawman in S30v (with Spyderco's heat treat) I truly feel there would be no better folding knife on the planet. I would pay over $200 for that.

An upscale version of my Vaquero Voyager with nicer scales. Maybe Elmax working it's way through the line too.

Yes, i second the elmax. cold steel is all about tough steels, im happy to see them use 3v in the wc tanto. but they need 5160 instead of 1055. and they need S7 between the 420j and vg1 layers. san mai 5 :0

I think 1055 as heat treated by Cold Steel does juuuuuust fine.

I would like to see Cold Steel produce a new fixed-blade series for self defense/tactical use. The knives in this series would have four-inch stainless-steel blades with full exposed tangs and G10 handle scales. The thickness of the blades would be ~.16", and there would be three variations: clip, tanto and wharncliffe. The sheath would be a Secure-Ex with a removable clip for multiple carry options.

Again, the focus would be self-defense/tactical use; however, I think these knives would work well in the outdoors as well. There's nothing unusually creative about this suggestion, but I'm sure Cold Steel could find a way to make these knives unique.

Better steel and bring back the Vaquero Grande with a skeletonized liner although it's not really needed.
Stamp the logo's into the metal, anodized the SS metal clips because they look like crap when they start to chip paint and a better quality of default steel!

Also, a 4.75" Voyager in all iterations would be great in 440c, VG-1, AUS-10 or equal.

Thumbplates instead of Studs.

This! I just got a voyager XL recently but with only tip-up carry and that long handle it's a little awkward to pull the knife out of my pocket and open it quickly with one hand. The XL knives desperately need the thumb plate openers instead of just studs.

Voyager in G10 FTW.

Combining a couple of previous comments: Voyager series in G-10 with thumb plates, keeping the stone wash finish. Snag opening is sick! Possibly skeletonized liners? I sometimes carry the Voyager XL Clip and weight isn't really an issue so the liners are variable. That would be a wicked folding series.

So I did a quick mock-up of what a G-10 Voyager with a thumb plate might look like. I did find that in adding a thumb plate, the blade height would have to minimized by maybe 3/16" or even 1/4" in order to accommodate the thumb plate and to allow the handle to have the same ergonomics.

Had to see it.

Well, it doesn't look nearly as cool, but form follows function.

I'd like to see a gurka kukri plus with gun blued , or black coated blade , for zombie use, in a situation you don't have much provisions to maintain your blade.

A Laredo Bowie with a full length tang and rubber handles. It is such a great blade and handle shape that is ruined with plywood handles and an odd way of attaching them (cable tang?). Even if they just made the San Mai III a full tang with a tougher handle, I would pony up the extra cash to buy one.

I think a Safe Maker with a bigger blade, maybe seven or nine inches say would be interesting.

Agreed. Better steels. Actually its one of the reasons I have a hard time buying from Cold Steel. Great designs but..... yea. The steel man..... the steel. ht is fine im sure.

I would like to see the counter point folders with G-10 handles instead of the grivory( I just cant seem to like that stuff no matter how I try)

I didn't feel like reading through all 11 pages of posts, so if this has already been said, oops. But what I would like to see is a 4", plain edged Desperado, the gladius upgraded from machete to a real sword, not ornate, plain and simple like the Bastard Sword, and I will second the vote for a "glock-like" katana built for use at a reasonable price.

If they did a Gladius with a micarta handle that would be a hell of a sword.....

I would like to see the Recon 1 Tanto have the blade of the original Ultra Locked version.

Agreed, That was my favorite knife for a long time. Re-release it with ELMAX, ZDP-189 or CTS-XHP or even good ole D2. And I loved the old handle. I still think it ranks pretty high on the handle comfort scale. Same shape but G-10.

I'd pay ZT money for that no problem. I'm sure a lot of people would.
