Cold Steel products YOU want to see?

folding karambit...and no more 4116 krupp steel stuff plz!!! It deterred me from buying afew products from you guys :(

Give me a 3" Code 4 with a 154CM steel blade in a drop point. Also, change the clip design, aa your current line up shreds casual pants and is too tight and stubby to quickly deploy/store in work clothes.

The Pinoy-influenced design that was picked-up by the USMC a century ago; the 1909 bolo machete.

Something about 20" like the "barong" design which is about middle-of-the-road (originally it had a large 24" and small 14"), it is both practical and tactical, something consistent with Cold Steel's offerings -

I'd love to see Cold Steel bring back the Bad Axe, Mini Bushman, and waxwood staffs. I'm glad they brought back the Pole Axe this year and I intend to buy one.

Some folks over at the Cold Steel forums also want CS to bring back the Black Talon with a Tri-Ad lock. I'd certainly rather have that than something like the Spyderco Civilian.

I'll settle for a redesigned clip at this point. My god, the Code Four is awesome, but I hate the current clip.

Ide love to see theyre bowies without the weird wire tang thing. I get that they save thousands of dollars in the long run but it is a completely terrible set up and has kept me from buying their bowies

Have you tried those Bowies? I think you may be pleasantly surprised
The "weird wire tang thing" is a cable tang. It's actually very strong. It is a great option for a fighting knife as it changes the balance of the knife considerably.
The cable tang also disperses shock. It's very resilient.
If you don't like the idea of a cable tang I would highly recommend checking out the Trail Master or the new Marauder series. Both awesome knives :)

Cold Steel doesn't save any money by using a cable tang. It's quite expensive to manufacture and is used by custom knifemakers for fighting blades. As the Cold Steel guy said, it helps the knife handle shock better and really changes the balance. This is important because the knives which utilize a cable tang design have faux wooden or micarta handles which are not very shock absorbing.

A Navaja, much like an Espada but with a ten inch 1095 blade. I've seen some of the Spanish ones, but they're 420 steel so really just shelf queens. Include the carraca mechanism so it makes the appropriate noise when opening. I don't know if the Carraca would work with a tri-ad lock though, the originals being basically a pretty strong slip joint that you needed a ring or lever to lift. Probably much like the Kuda now I think about it. If the handles could be done in a mix of steel and wood for that traditional look that would be excellent. G10 would be much stronger of course, can it be made to look "wooden"?

I would like to see those dang rubber handles go bye-bye on the premiere Tanto line, Tai Pan, Outdoorsman and Trailmaster. You would not believe how much rust there actually is under those rubber handles, especially on the carbon blades.

If they would use g10 or micarta on those models, that would be a very nice improvement. To me rubber is a cheap way out on handle materials, especially on knives that cost well over a hundred dollars, even up to four hundred dollars.

1) Do you have photo or video proof of this?

2) To call Cold Steel's kraton "rubber" is to refer to a Noveske as "a gun". Cold Steel did it first and now everybody is doing it. Fallkniven, Kabar, and others.

I don't care about steels but, I would like to see a Recon 1 with a full flat grind on it. On the same line of Hold Out's, wich I own and love.
I would like to see much less simple machined hollow grind and more full flat grind or full flat convex grind.:)

The new Recon 1 XL in clip point is FFG.
