Cold Steels Blade Weaknesses

It's because his first post on this forum was in Whine and Cheese; where he resurrected a thread where the locals were poking fun at the new Cold Steel DVD and claimed that Cold Steel was the best knife company ever. Circumstantially, making those claims on the very same knife in this thread, when he didn't even have it in his possession yet. And now, here we are...crow served with rye.

However, once being a 17 year old, it isn't hard to see how one can fall into the marketing behind Cold Steel products as being the "toughest". There are probably very few people on this board who didn't buy a knife they regretted. Sorry to rub your nose in it Kyle, but in a sense you asked for it. What is your opinion now of Cold Steel?

Use it as a beater, sell it, or give it away to someone. Buy a Benchmade Griptilian, or a Spyderco Endura, and move on. Or, hang around the board for a while and learn about what separates a quality knife from the rest, and buy something YOU like. Don't buy because of hype.

btw, it's a cheap lesson really. I've bought way more expensive knives I've regretted.
 
I think DngrRuss1 should buy you a new knife, he's always telling how wonderful CS knives and their customer service is. The knives they make has failed you twice and the customer service once.

I fail to understand you're need to be a consistent arsehat. Why not just try to get along? You present yourself as a spoiled brat.
 
you shouls also take into consideration that the rope was cut by people who have trained with knives for dozens of years, that rope is very diffrent from wire, and there is a disclamer on the dvd stateing that everything they test is gross abuse of the blade and isnt covered in the warantee.
