Collectorknives.net #85 SFO?

I'm still confused on the shield, which is the deciding factor for me. Is it the cloud shaped shield or the UN-X-LD, or something different? Any picture references?

Haven't seen anything on a shield. I'd kinda like neither of those. I'd go for the hot dog of the tidioute. It probably won't matter for me though.

I'm interested to see what the striped buffalo horn looks like....tried searching on Google for examples and got pix of black/white, brown/white, and everything in between. Anyone know if the ebony will be Gabon or Makassar?

I received two boy's knives from Mike last week. He must have handpicked them for me or I was just extraordinarily lucky because the cocobolo on these two knives is the best looking of any cocobolo I have seen to date. This one is the single blade barehead jack.

Great looking cocobolo, Ed. I usually end up with the stuff that WASN'T hand picked!!! I wish this #85 SFO had some nice wood like that. Congrats on the new purchases.

Waiting for this SFO is the only thing preventing me from dropping the cash on an Antique Yellow #15, because I couldn't justify having 2 fancy jacks with the same cover material. Life is hard

Oh yeah......got my request for an ebony 85 in a couple of weeks ago. Really looking forward to it's arrival.
