Collectorknives.net #85 SFO?

Should be any day now. I always check the GEC blog--usually updated in the afternoons EST.

Oh, my!

Oh wow those look nice. I have a #85 single blade in natural stag but I might have to get one of these too.

Ooooh yeah!

Glad I ordered ebony. It matches the old timey American pattern. I associate horn with European knives.

Wow, those look amazing. I requested a antique yellow bone. Can't wait to see those.

Buffalo Horn shipped to me on Friday. But I will probably not list them until all are in-hand.

Ebony wood in stock at GEC had a lot of brown in it, so I switched to African Black Wood and all reserves will switch respectively (although not committed).

I am expecting to have the full series by end of this week or early next week. If a reserve is placed an email will be sent with price when I have all aspects nailed down.

Both should be less than $90, but don't have full pricing yet. Linerlock costs just about as much as the second blade/spring.

I very much like the idea of a Linerlock variant of these, the 85 is a favourite of mine.

The Ivory Bone looks exceptional but I'm curious about what the Antique Yellow will look like...I think I'll have to contact some US based people to help me out here :D

Thanks, Will

That's a shame about the Ebony. :(

Still, we got some new pics!

I may be getting a couple of brown ebony if that is your cup of tea. Personally I prefer the dark black of the African Black Wood and my experience with the Factory Test Run they did was that it is more dense and has less open grain lines than either ebony.

I'm not sure. I would love to see them. This is turning out to be a great looking knife.

My issue is really the what seems to be traditional ebony drying up or too much demand for them. I've seen it in the guitar world too. I was really liking the idea of the "traditional" ebony wood. Plus, it seems that ebony does a good job outlasting other scale materials (looking through auction sites and whatnot). It's really a "nostalgia" thing for me that I wanted. The pictures I've seen with the African Blackwood do look great though.

Those are looking really nice. I requested ebony and will gladly take black wood instead. I have acquired quite a few ebony scaled knives in the past few months. I really like the smooth ivory bone but not so much with the shield. Not sure why though, it just seems out of place to me.
