Had to leave the Busse subforum this morning before i likely start a war and loose 100 friends.... I think ill stay on this side for a while.

A busse copy?? Own every shape cutout in any knife guard?? These guys are just getting crazy with it. They think everything is a Busse copy... Technically i think Busse copied their new SWATmandu design from this knife maker here instead of the other way around.

And i kind of wanted the new SWATmandu thats going to be in the Ganza. First time i thought about going after a Busse in a ganza and not a swamp rat (granted its because it has the swamp rat RMD handle but still) But then i see this thread and just loose interest. Its close enough to my birthday that my wife was willing to pay for the knife for me.....

But now ill just get some more ink work done instead.

Understand that knife picture from the above thread was shown in BLADE mag so its not something the maker knocked out this morning.... And Busse just released the image of the new SWATmandu YESTERDAY. So who copied who here ??

/Rant and i apologize. But i liked that blade.... Then the fanboys had to go and ruin the interest i had.

That's just ridiculous, "the tang cut outs are simililar to the ones on the TGLB, it must be a copy." Seriously? I understand when people get mad over blatant ripoffs, but when something small like the talon hole, or the fricken tang cuts outs are similar, it's childish. they just need need to calm down, step back and realize that they are not the best thing since sliced bread



Also, who want to tell me what c-bear posted? I'm really curious now

My apologies... I'll try to make up for it, with my pictures from Chicago. They aren't fantastic, but I was walking around in a -30 windchill with the wind coming off the lake... and loving every minute of it!

No need to be curious young blood, it was a picture that was cringeworthy but not in a MM-Gash in his head type of way.

First up, the most accurate weather rock I've ever seen!

Which is in front of one of the tallest buildings in the world (Willis (a.k.a. Sears!) Tower)

The top lighted corner office that used to be my office when I worked there. It was an amazing view of downtown

Something I never even seen this in the middle of Grant Park, and apparently it's been there for QUITE a while

No, sorry to say I don't have that much talent. But we do share the bald head and VanDyke. They also did a riff on Jay-Z's "New York State of Mind" called......you guessed it, "Granite State of Mind". 'Course, Jay-Z wuz ripping off Billy Joel, so nothing is original.

I'm planning on next time taking my real camera, it will be better for pictures. I couldn't find them at the time though so it made it slightly hard to take with me. Lately the conferences I've been to have not been in big cities. So I don't get to get that part of conference. Last one was in Bloomington, Illinois. Next one I'm going to is in Springfield, Illinois. So that kind of sucks monkey butt!
