Come to the Snark side

Well, it looks like the house hunt is back on. As much as we would love to stay in downtown Toronto, there is no way we can justify a million dollar fixer-upper. We were thinking about moving about an hour north to the city to Barrie, but the train commute is a bit too long for Christine. So, it looks like our search has shifted to Hamilton. Fingers crossed that we can find something appropriate. We really hope we can find a place with a sufficiently large garage for a climbing gym.

Get a big enough place that you can put up me and my fam, and I will do the fixer uppering ..lol We have been talking about Canada for a while.

The upside would be live in fixit guy and climbing buddy, the downside would be roomates ..lol

Word. Get a big enough place you can put all us up... Then the beckerhead gathering can be YEAR ROUND :D

Trying to come up with a point system for snarking that you add up over the course of a snark thread..... For instance.. 1 point for a funny comeback, 2 points for turning someones comeback around on them, 3 points for turning someone's comeback around on them and using a becker reference at the same time.....

Something like this anyways... Thoughts? Ideas?

That's too much work, and I can't math.

I don't see the downside!

With all this bleak weather, I thought a new pipe might cheer me up. Should be here next week.

What the heck were you doing up there?. I'll be honest, if there were more job opportunities we would consider Manitoulin. The limestone climbing cliffs there are staggering.

I know, right?
My family was the first resident on the eastern coast of Barrie Island. Runnels Crescent was bascialy made for my parents. They convinced Lou to subdivide his farmland and sell them the first plot about 40 years ago. I went up there every summer for about 20 years and they built the place around me in stages as I grew up. The spacing between the uprights in the deck railing were sized to be just a bit smaller than my head, so my baby noggin became an official unit of measure for that house. Eventually my mom sold the place. Prolly my favorite place in the world.

it as 1.5mi to the nearest power and phone, and 13mi to Gore Bay, which I could ride on my mountain bike. We packed in ice blocks for the icebox from the butcher in town every couple days. The house was designed never to be electrified - a 2.5 season vacation home that my parents built themselves on the bluff overlooking the bay. My mom still has the book: "Say Goodbye to the Flush Toilet", though they did put in modern plumbing heated with propane when the construction got far enough along. Goddamn amazing place.

LMAO!!

Just need it for 1 thread really for a GAW, wont be too difficult i dont think. I can add up scores while you all are asleep LOL... But id like to come up with a good score system first... It could make for a hilarious snark thread.

I've always wanted to start collecting pipes, even though I don't smoke I still find them to be really cool

I totally understand. They are wonderful works of craftsmanship/art.

Thanks, I'll definitely look into it

Let me know what you think. We've been using it for over two years and it's significantly better than the stock keyboard app.

Very impressive. Do you have any pics? The place sounds incredible.

What a lazy ass day. I've been on the computer most of the day, and napping in between.

Agreed. Very lazy day.

I kept telling myself i was gunna take a nap, but time went right on by.

Sunday night is game night here. So the kids are taking their showers and then we will play some monopoly junior and some uno.

Good family stuff.

The wife and I sometimes play Yahtzee, or Scrabble at the cabin if it's raining, or just too cold to be out.
