Call it whatever you want. I always called it "Tennessee Tea" back when I mixed iced tea with JD a couple decades ago. Now I just call it, "Thanks for the sweet tea with lemon, babydoll; that's a nice chaser for this glass of KY bourbon". :p

If you really want to get into it deep on a cold winter night, try you some hot tea with lemon and a bit of honey and of course, bourbon. I don't know what that's called either, but I know it's mighty soothing for a sore throat or when you just wanna sit around scritching your favorite dog and watching the snow pile up.

decided i wanted a couple life adjustments, so i've given up all the fun things, including booze, for at least February, maybe all of March

the money i save will be used towards a table saw (Sawstop?) and other tools

it will also help to fuel some "induction" for an atkins/paleo style meat diet burn down. well, mostly.

but just one of those odd things i felt i had to do.

New episode!! The best knife reviews in this solar system, on every planet....and Pluto, too!

Nothing like a little Bailey's and some hand tool use. I got a stair tread cutoff that I'm turning into a cutting board. For crap grade wood, it's got a little quilting, a little bird's eye.....and I now have a crapload of rotini shaped tinder.

One of my favorite tools, maybe the favorite......the old Stanley #53 with a Hock blade. So much fun to use.

Never seems to need sharpening either. Need to find ways to use it more.

Well, it looks like the house hunt is back on. As much as we would love to stay in downtown Toronto, there is no way we can justify a million dollar fixer-upper. We were thinking about moving about an hour north to the city to Barrie, but the train commute is a bit too long for Christine. So, it looks like our search has shifted to Hamilton. Fingers crossed that we can find something appropriate. We really hope we can find a place with a sufficiently large garage for a climbing gym.

I hear Milton is a great place to live  comes with a local Beckerhead

Got a bk-15 and some shadetree cryptonite. I think it's been so long since I've had time to play with knives, I've lost the cahones (spelling) to mod them.
Side note: Unfortunate what happened to Kyle.

Hey guys/gals, I'm sure Murph will be pissed at me for mentioning this, but you know he has been under the weather since he had his fainting spell last week. Well, hes been wearing a heart monitor ever since. Today was a shop day meaning I expected him here. He called, said he was helping his mother in law get her vehicle unstuck....... in the meantime, the folks that monitor his heart, called him and told him to get to the hospital immediately. He called me as he was waiting on the ambulance. I'm quite sure its nothing, Murph is a tough sumbitich, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt for you guys to keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I will keep you posted as far as what I know..................... even though im sure he'll be pissed about it............I'm starting to think the Sumbitch will do anything to get out of work!

Not a religious man myself as I feel I would be looking at the big man like a dog that knows it wasn't right to poop on the floor but I'll send a good word tonight for Murph.

Very impressive. Do you have any pics? The place sounds incredible.

yeah, but I don't have a SLIDE scanner! :-(

Bladite: sounds like an awesome plan, de-rusting everything.

Murph: You have built-in wifi?? Watch out for those Chiba City doctors, yo. Be safe!

Nice Gibson reference Daizee...
Murph, be well.

Thanks guys! Todd, I ain't pissed at all, thanks buddy. I'm staying in the hospital overnight for monitoring. I'll go through some in depth tests tomorrow morning with the cardiologist. She thinks it's something to do with the electrical pulses in my ticker. May need meds, pace maker or to cauterize a nerve. Something's screwy, but they say it can be fixed. There is a good looking nurse, but my Warden would kill me for touching her.
