Perhaps beacuse after all of this i beleive the OP when he writes"

"Basically I sent him the money on an Emerson knife he listed as LINB.. Which means "LIKE NEW IN BOX". Which also means closed deal. Money exchanged hands. He sends pic of worn pivot. I ask questions and we agree that he send back $10 for misrepresentation. "

Seems as if he sent you $$ and then you sent pics at his request and it was discovered that you "neglected" to tell him about wear on a LNIB knife... just sayin

And there needs to be no fuss about paypal refunds - there is a button on the payment which says "Refund", and you can do partial refunds. Paypal gladly does that. No need to send money as gift, etc.

Another thing. Was it worth the $10 to go through all this. Maybe it was for you. But not for me.

not only did you sell my knife to someone else after I paid. but I am out of the refunds you gave me for 3-5 business days until it is activated in my account.

Let me ask you this...does the new owner know you sold him a knife that belonged to someone else? That is theft!

I never had to refund or do a partial refund. So I don't know how. Either way it was not me doing the partial refund. I guess I assumed he sent a full refund because the last I heard from him he was refunding $10 back and so I sent another payment ($10 less) which he refunded again.

That made me lose my funds out of my account for a while which stings because I use Paypal for knife fun..

I sold MY knife 2 hrs after I refunded you and told you I didn't want to deal with you. I have the time stamps on PayPal to prove this. So you can quit trying to pass off your assumptions as truth any time now.

Mods feel free to close this whenever these what I assume to be grown men quit crying. I've said my peace and have done nothing wrong or against forum rules.

Lol...you actually sold the knife to the OP,agreed to refund him a small amount for the fact that you misrepresented the condition, and then reneged on that and refunded him entirely so you could sell said knife to another poor schnook for an additional $10 dollars.... That's about it eh....

Next you will try to impress upon us that you are an upstanding guy (evidence to the contrary notwithstanding) because you are a Iraqi war veteran or because you are a dad.......integrity is not something you talk about , it is something that you demonstrate...all the time.

Good luck with that

This is just my opinion but it sounds like Comeandtakeit only cares about making $$ and not about the customer. He should have said "Im going to refund all your money back" Before taking any action of the sort and all of this could have been avoided. Instead he was having a fit and decided to be sneaky about it. Again just my opinion and nothing personal Comeandtakeit, just telling it how i see it. From what i have read.

Mquez,

You are right but he doesn't care about the MEMBERS he interacts with.....they are not customers, just a means to an end.

P

Comeandtakeit it seems that this sort of thing is a ongoing with you. The fact that a mod told you to think about stepping back from the exchange and you are still doing the same thing speaks to the sort of person you are.

Perhaps it is time for the mods to take a look at the pattern that is evident here and see if they should take action or not.

I agree with all of the above and would like to add the following... there seems to be quite a lot of controversy and or drama when it comes to dealing with " comeandtakeit ", my recommendation would be for everyone to stop dealing with him period, don't buy from him or sell to him... problem solved.

There does seem to be a fairly clear pattern here. I have been watching since before the last thread, and it's amazing the number of edited sale posts where he has written "withdrawn". May be time to take the mods advice or to have the mods look into some corrective measures here.

Isn't it against the forum/exchange rules to misrepresent an item for sale?

From the rules:

3. Be honest and provide an accurate & detailed description of the item. Don't forget to mention defects, blemishes, new, used, or other problems. When in doubt, be pessimistic with your descriptions.

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/announcement.php?f=749&a=98

To be fair, items don't get accurately described in Exchange threads all the time. This doesn't mean there is intent to deceive as it could just be a lazy seller. That's why quality pictures of the item/s for sale help so much but we're right back to the lazy thing again. This particular thread is more about bad form than breaking any rules. Nobody is really out any money or property but this was handled ugly by the seller with little regard for the buyer's wishes.

I have no problem completing a good deal. I've got over 60 positive transactions with 13 of them happening in the past month. Ppl make threads like this because they know the group think is strong around here. One person says something negative and instead of looking at the whole story everyone likes to chime in. Don't be so gullible.

Also has anyone bashing me on here actually completed a deal with me.........um nope. It's people where the deal never happened and they're pissed off or people just grabbing their pitchfork and jumping on the bandwagon.

Lol...there are people that would have completed deals except for the fact that you weaseled out!!!

Isn't that what we are talking about?????

Absolutely amazing

Don't be so gullible.
The fact that you would even say this goes to show what type of person you really are and that you don't care about the great people on this Forum. Maybe we are gullible, but it doesn't change the fact that your communication is all but great!

You've been a member less then a year and you've had more then one of these threads started about you. Don't you find that a little bit strange?

The buyers "wishes" were to have me sell my knife to him for $20 and then $10 "because he was being nice" less than what I was asking for after he had already sent full payment. I politely declined and refunded him in full. His response to that was to threaten me with a negative thread if I didn't meet his demands of selling my knife to him for less. I declined again. Here we are. Yeah I'm the real a-hole here.
