Colubrid, thanks for giving everyone a heads up on your deal gone bad.
It seems as if comeandtakit is making a bad name for himself and his words in this thread as well as others shows that he is not particularly interested in being a stand up guy.
I added his name to my ignore list so hopefully I wont even see his threads.

All the bragging about positive feedback becomes meaningless when you have two hate threads started against you in a week, so hopefully more people will become aware of this guy's bad behavior.

Doing the same. Great idea. thanks CNCpro11

The better question is why deal with somebody again when you had an issue with them before? If fire burns you, don't touch it again!

After reading through this it seems that comeandtakeit is not so much a lazy seller as he is possibly intentionally misrepresenting an item. I didn't see any apologies for the "lnib" actually being obviously not. I have had a few trades where the item was misrepresented, and there is a clear difference between ignorance or not caring and plainly not seeing a specific detail. It is the job of the seller to make the buyer walk away happy, and the buyer has full rights to request a refund or compensation for being lied to.

This is comeandtakeit's posting activity on Bladeforums. Looks more like a dealer (poor one at that) than a contributing member. Buyer beware, buyer take care.

+1 to This.

I've been a member for a few years and only have two transactions on the exchange. Both were smooth transactions, with great forum members I would recommend to others and wouldn't hesitate to do business with again. They, like me, participate in discussions and genuinely have an interest in this forum. Part of the reason I feel so comfortable around here (as little as I participate) is because of the sense of brotherhood and general good manners I find here that seem to be declining in society around me every day.

There are others who seem to see this place as an extension of E-Prey.

And that sucks, because imho it cheapens the spirit of fellowship this site was designed to foster.

Just sayin', there have been far too many threads about this type of behavior lately, and the Mods around here deserve a medal for mediating.

What I have learned reading this thread is that I should check this area first before engaging in a transaction to look for repetitive behavior. Period.

Me thinks this thread has completed the coma stage and is now circling the drain........................

Well, it seems that some new information has come to light. Colubrid has messaged me and requested this opened to share some pertinent information regarding this transaction.

Well at this point I am so pissed off I should not be typing.

Evidently the money I sent him for the knife and he refunded has not cleared his bank because it was refunded as an echeck and his bank does not have enough funds in it to send me the money. Now I need to open a case with paypal against this guy.

Here is the email from Paypal I just received..

An eCheck payment from Corey Charpentier was declined by the sender's bank. We will automatically try to process this payment again in 3 business days. It then usually takes 3-5 days for the money to be deposited into your account. Please do not ship items until you receive payment.

eCheck details:

Amount: $140.00 USD
Transaction ID: 53724334DC123201Y
Sender: Corey Charpentier
Sender's email: crc15tango@yahoo.com

This goes back to the 12th of November now folks. I knew it was coming as a refund from echeck but now I receive this notice that he does not have enough money in his account to refund.

What I want to know is WHO he sold the knife to on this forum??????????????? Because technically it still belongs to me and is my property.. No different than selling a car to someone else after you paid for it.

So whoever has my Emerson gentleman Jim...COUGH IT UP BUD!

It prob didn't clear because you sent that money to an obsolete PayPal account and it is linked to a bank account I closed 6 yrs ago and NOT the PayPal account I told you to send it to.

I clicked refund and did everything I could on my part. You and PayPal can sort it. I'm over dealing with you. I don't have your money PayPal does.

No you gave me that paypal account you liar!

You name is attached to it!

I want my money or tell me who has my knife!@

I think it is clear here what comeandtakeit is doing.. He came...and he took it!

THEIF!!!!!! LIAR!~

now who here on this forum jumped in and bought my knife.. He said it was sold to someone here! ...SOLD AFTER I bought it whick makes it MY knife.

MODS!

It seems this guy will be gone and I want to post a thread on the for sale section so the person who bought my knife will see that and know they have MY knife!@

It is stolen property and a member here purchased it from him.

You need to calm down first off because you are 100% wrong. I gave you my GMAIL email info just like I do everyone I deal with. And that is the account you sent the money to the first time I refunded you. So you can't even lie and say I gave you something else. The 2nd time you ASSUMED and sent it using my YAHOO email. I told you this immediately after you did that It wasn't correct so this shouldn't be a shock to you. This is between you and PayPal now.
