Comeandtakeit welches ........AGAIN...........AND AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no Bladeforums problem with selling a knife hoping to make a buck if the price is fair and the demand is there.

Dealerships are only for people whose intent is to buy and sell as a business, which is also no problem as long as they do so with the right membership.

Someone selling a knife they no longer need but which has appreciated enough to be worth turning into cash or another knife are fine doing so as a Gold member.

I agree with you, I do not see anyone other than the Post office making money here. The issue is one of integrity and being concerned with the feeling of others. This thread has highlighted the lack of those qualities in some of our members.

As far as we know, the OP is still out his money....at least 24 hours after RevDevil importuned him to "pay the man already" . The fact that comeandtakeit had to hear that and still has not done it is very very telling. The clock is ticking

Well, we also know that comeandtakeit isn't particularly interested in what the mods have to say. In his other "welching" thread he completely disregarded rycen's post:

rycen said:
It's the repetitive nature that makes it more of a problem then just passing on a knife.

comeandtakeit

You should read through this thread again and see why this type of behavior bothers people. Maybe take a little break from the exchange too.

He continues the same behavior, is not in the least bit contrite, and didn't even hesitate for a second in his use of the exchange. That speaks volumes.

This whole thing has escalated into a full blown soap opera. I'm afraid both buyer and seller share the culpability equally.
1. Do your research BEFORE you buy or sell an item, period. It takes seconds to search through this very forum and see whatever needs to be seen.
2. Read some posts that the seller or buyer has made. Do they come across as helpful, interested in the community? Are they friendly? That gives you so much information, but it seems no one can be bothered anyone. It easier to just complain.
3. Any item you see for sale is not yours until you have the purchased item in your hand, period. What is more concrete than physical ownership and a nod from the seller sealed with a positive feedback rating?

If the transaction fell though, no big deal. Owning knife # 125 in a collection is far less than a life and death situation, yet some people are very rigid and refuse to see any perspective other than their own. There is a bigger picture involved here, don't get stuck in this repetitive drama. Get a refund. Or give the refund and move on. Do not complain about situations you bring upon yourself. Some knives are really expensive for whatever reason. Maybe they are forged by zeus, and quenched in unicorn blood. Doesn't matter, what does matter is that you should not spend above your means.

Corey, you have 5 days to make things right, after that your account will be permanently locked. This is getting beyond ridiculous, we're past Jerry Springer on the WTF scale here.

I literally lol'd at your post, I respect what you guys do here on this forum, I am sure that being a mod kind of takes away from the whole forum experience, but It's because of you guys that I have confidence If I ever get burned it will be made right. Dunno what I'm trying to say here , I guess just I wish you guys got a little more credit than you do. I usually don't like to see someone get banned , however I am looking forward to seeing you guys drop the hammer on a certain member....Sorry If I just created a Jerry moment...lol

Has the OP been refunded yet?

If not, this is truly stunning and ridiculous

Most of us would be driving 100 miles per hour to fix this.

Has the OP been refunded yet?

Haven't heard from the OP in three day, so hopefully he has it by now.
Then again you would think he would let us know the day he recieved it, so he may not have it.

I sure hope he has it by now. I thinks its been long enough for an echeck to clear.

Paypal said they do their batch transfers at 12 noon and 6pm. So hopefully sometime today. If I don't get it they will apply a credit to my account. So I am good.

Colubrid,

That is great! Happy to see that Comeandtakeit really worked diligently and aggressively over the past 3 days to fix this and get your refund taken care of...

I don't know and I don't care. Just SHOW ME THE MONEY!

So, in order to put this issue to bed once and for all... I anyone owed any money? I need a clear, honest yes or no.

I didn't get it today so I am on the phone with paypal right now (12 midnight). I will post and let everyone when funds show up in my account.

Also has anyone bashing me on here actually completed a deal with me.........um nope. It's people where the deal never happened and they're pissed off or people just grabbing their pitchfork and jumping on the bandwagon.

Do you remember our transaction!? I left you +1 but it was more so that you would leave me +1 in return cause I was still very new at the time and needed it, yea I got my knife eventually, but the feedback surely wasnt because of the service I received...

Personally I'll never deal with you again, read my feedback left for you vs. what I've left others, notice a difference? Notice anything deliberate left out (as in "fast shipping", usually I include that).

I'm not trying to attack you, just trying to look out for other people...

Trying to look out for other people by leaving faulty feedback just so you would get positive feedback? That is part of the reason the op and others have problems with guys like this... The feedback system is there so you know who you are dealing with, not a reward system for getting a deal done. If you indeed left positive feedback for a deal that did not go smoothly that is very shady.

It might not have went perfecty but it didnt go bad and in the end I was happy, my feedback reflects that. The knife took [literally] weeks to ship but he communicated the whole time and the knife was as described, had I left negative feedback he's well known for retialiating with -1 right back and bein new I couldnt have that against me. Again my feedback was very fitting to the circumstance, where usually I say something alot the lines of "great seller, fast shipping, would buy from again" in his case I said "good communication, knife better than described" which was all true in regards to that transaction...

He's well known for leaving negative feedback right back for neutral/negative feedback left for him, look at the dates of his feedback received / left for others, notice he never leaves feedback first, had he I most likely would of left neutral...

I'm not taking sides, however I feel in all fairness, I will say that my own personal experience with, "comeandtakeit," was a very positive transaction. He was extremely professional, honest in his description, fast shipping , good value, & the entire transaction was 100% positive.

I edited my comment, leaving only the pertinent part related to the issue being discussed. Some BF members have difficulty comprehending how other members seem to have mostly positive experiences on this forum, & when they support a member that they are attacking, they feel "REPULSED".

I visit BF primarily to purchase knives; in 5 months I have purchased approximately 35 very nice knives. I choose not to spend my valuable time on a thread (Wine & Cheese), reading other members negative experiences, incessantly whining, OVER $10! I only read a few of the 8 pages of redundant comments, (so excuse me it I'm ignorant of all of the facts) I have better things to do than read 50 comments of redundant babbling by ONE member!

Some people go through life looking at the glass as half full, some choose to see their glass as half empty (always finding drama, & negativity in EVERYTHING). I knew it was a mistake spending 5 minutes of my valuable time on this negative thread. The only reason I came on "HALL OF FAME" was to tell of a positive experience I had a stellar BF member & I noticed the thread regarding "comeandtakeit."

From now on, I will spend my valuable time only on the sale/trade/buy threads, & away from the drama queens...& thanks to my new found knowledge: there are a couple of BF members/whiners, who I will no longer associate with.

I stand by my comment regarding, comeandtakeit... get over it!

I would imagine this thread will be put to bed when the OP gets his money back.
Until then it remains an issue, especially with Come and take's comments and past history.

Kelama,

With respect, you will have to put the dots a little closer together to show what it has to do with anything here. If it is "water under the bridge and ancient history", why are you bringing it up here / now? The OP was not sold a counterfeit, the deal was done here and not on ebay... ? Honestly what I find "repulsive" is that you wax on about doing the right thing and members looking after one another when you are more more upset about the OP's signature than you are about a member that misrepresented a knife and has yet to make good on a refund...

But hey , it takes all kinds

P
