I'm taking my mother to Switzerland to see some relatives. Going to recreate the Sound of Music on a mountain!

My mother passed away years ago, but my family and I carry her flowers every year for Mother's day. For my wife, my daughter and I took her out to her fauvourite italian restaurant, in Spain we celebrated it last Sunday.

My mother is 1500 miles away, but I always send her flowers and call to reminisce on Mother's Day.

She wants to stay in, so I'll be making Cuban sandwiches for her and gifting her a Tojiro gyuto to round out her kitchen knives.

I don't have enough posts to enter but wanted to say good on ya for an awesome giveaway.

We always get together for Mothers day with another family we are friends with and grill out burgers and such for lunch. Usually I get my mom a couple of plants/flowers, like a hanging basket and some sort of decorative potted plant for outside. She loves that stuff.

Mother's day was in march in the UK . I took her out on a Sunday afternoon for a carvery and a local pub . and I got her a new going out coat . hay its what she wanted :D

This is my official entry...

I live in Colorado and my mother is retired and living in Ft. Lauderdale. I have a four month old baby and it is her first and only grandchild. I will be using Facetime with her and my son on Mother's day. I don't usually get her a gift because her birthday was a couple of days ago and they are so close together. My father will probably be taking her out for Sushi or something for me.

My mother is going to be getting a card from me, as I am away in college at the moment. Once I get home though, I will probably take her to see Pitch Perfect 2 and take her out to dinner as well. She loved the first pitch perfect, so I thought it would be fitting for her to see the second!
 
This is my official entry. That is one sweet knife!! Thanks for the opportunity. I probably won't see my mom on mothers day as she is working. I will have dinner with my wife and daughters and in-laws.

Since I am quite a way away from my mom, I will call her and listen to her tell me I deserve more than who I married :D

Oh, and if I win I'll re-gift it to ecop who mistakenly sold the knife to comeuppance for 20 bucks and lost a lot of money.

This year the kids are making mom breakfast in bed and doing a home spa day they are putting together. Flowers and a plane ride from Dad.
 
This is my official entry. This Saturday, all the guys in our family are having a big cook out for all the mothers. We do all the cooking and cleaning and they get to sit back and enjoy the evening. Thanks for the GAW. Great looking knife!

My mom lives about eight hours away, so the plan is to drive up over the weekend and take her out to dinner. Coordinating with her husband so I don't interfere with other plans. Should be a nice surprise :cool:
