Comeuppance's giveaway and Mother's Day thread! (Winner announced!)

I live overseas, so I'm going to mail order some flowers. Her favorite are yellow roses! It's not much, but she will love the gesture.

Taking mom to lunch, got her the new camping chair she wanted and will pick up some chocolates for her. Or flowers. Can't go wrong with flowers or chocolates.

For this Mother's Day, my wife (mother of my daughter) and I will be taking my mum to the 47th Annual Mother's Day Pow Wow at the University of Oregon. It's a good time. My wife and I go every year, and I know my mum will enjoy it even if Powwow dancing is a bit different from the Eskimo dancing back home. Plus, there is a salmon bake on Mother's Day itself, and who doesn't love a communal meal of salmon :)

This is my official entry. I was created, not born.

All kidding aside, my fiance and I ordered custom bags/purses for my mother, her mom, and stepmom. I'm going to get something else for my mom, I just don't know what yet. I'm sure our family will take her out to dinner/lunch as well.

Father's day is much more difficult for me than mother's day. Partly because it falls on or around the birthday of the man who claims he's my father. After 36 years on the planet, I'm still not sure, but I've accepted him finally and don't want to bother with or spend the money on a dna test.

Thanks for the GAW--this is my official entry. Mom/mother in law get flowers, sister gets phone call, and my wife gets a picnic on the beach and a grand BBQ at home. Of course, there will gifts too... Maybe a blue box...

For Mother's Day we are all getting together (tough when there are 5 kids all over the state!) and meeting at my sister's house for a bbq after church. We got our mom a set of theater and dinner tickets so she can go have a date night with Captain. (Aka dad)

It will be cliche, but I like getting mom some nice flowers! Already make it a habit of weekend dinners, so will be keeping that tradition going and spend some time with her this weekend!

My parents are coming to visit this weekend. I'm not quite sure what the plan is yet, but it will probably involve going out to eat somewhere nice on Saturday, possibly with my grandmother as well. I'm looking forward to it..:D

This mothers day I will be going to my parents house and making them dinner. I dont really have money to buy her a present or take her out this year but I will get her atleast one flower. Hopefully I can get if free from one of my gardening neighbor friends (with their permission of course). Thanks again!
