Communication issue resolved !

So you did not even get confirmation from the seller that it was yours? Seems you just sent money to what you thought was his pp address with no contact with the seller""

Heres a HUGE part that might not have been disclosed MUCH MUCH earlier when this thread had begun..
You dont GET the item until and NOT until the seller tells you-- "Its Yours"

You cant just send cash to address and expect the person to get back to you

Well, the situation is this, I have been wanting to get a Case 6347 stockman, that is the knife he relisted. I got up at 4 AM on Friday morning, saw that relist and said to myself, Lord there it is! He stated his PayPal address in the thread. I said I would take it and I paid quickly, so as to make sure I got it. I figured he would see it in the morning and get back to me and say it was mine. I have done this before, not that early in the AM. It was an honest, hastily thought , mistake. Hopefully it can come together in a good way for all involved.

Quite presumptuous on the part of the OP to send money without any kind of "sold" confirmation, but it is worth noting that the seller was indeed online this evening, only a few hours ago.
 
Presumptuous? Then what is the purpose of feedback in this forum? If a member has 100+ very good feedbacks and 100% reliability, is it possible to presume that maybe , just maybe the transaction will be alright , even if I jumped the gun and didn't wait for a response at 4 AM in the morning? If not, the what is the purpose of feedback. This forum is built upon a lwv we l of trust- the seller trusts the buyer to send $$ and the buyer trusts the seller to send the knife. If the knife has been sold elsewhere, as some suggest, and there is money in a paypal account that is in error, then why not contact the person who bought the knife too late and explain the situation and return the money and all this discussion wouldn't be necessary. ??

I will not bother any of you good people anymore with any purchases to cause any problems. I have bought, sold, and traded, about 20 knives on this site and it has been fun. Thank you

FYI: I don't know gun man, nor have I ever dealt or communicated with gun man before. I offered this nicety for the greater good of the forum, and to pacify you so you would stop freaking out.

I'm glad it worked. Hopefully you'll be able to find the same model case knife elsewhere. :thumbup: :)

I have other things to do, like go to work, and work an hour OT now...just for you! :D
 
If you accept a refund from another BF member other then the seller you are completely pathetic in my opinion (regardless if the seller reimburses them or not). This thread is a textbook example on how not to handle yourself here.

Hopefully Gun Man hasn't already sent the knife out to the OP, which is still possible-but you at least relieved the OP of a lot of un-needed worry. Things were a mess but all would eventually have been resolved. Even if Gun Man for some strange reason didn't PP would have.
So have you received the money from Gun Man yet, or are we on to a new thread :)
 
If gun man sent the knife, I will not keep the $$. I will refund it back. If Gun man frequents this site, then someone should tell him to answer my threads to him on the original thread. I am not looking to gain anything here . I just want him to either send me the knife or refund the $$. Why hasn't he stepped forward through all of this ?
Wow, this has gotten bigger than I had planned. I have sent every type of message to Gun man and no response, yet people tell me he is on the site last night , why can't he get back to me ????
