How about knife/knife/watch?

How true!!! It really impressed me!! Also love how thin behind the edge it is! Takes a screaming edge!!

Like many of you, I usually carry a big and a smaller knife. (My Strider PT CC lives in my wallet.) I have a variety of carry combinations:

One of my favorite pairings, Large Sebenza 21 Micarta and GEC #43 Bullnose:

Yeah, yeah, I know--it's Christmas morning and here i am on a damn knife forum. I swear, I have a life, I'm just up early to do some wrapping. Our grown sons came over last night for dinner and J and two of them are fast asleep. K's over in the shop finishing a wood-working gift. C's girlfriend will be over later for gifts and dinner. I'm just waking up, having some coffee, and checking my computer.

Anyway, the pairing similar to the above that really floats my boat is that originally intended by BM--the 710 and 705, both among my favorites. I've got a 710/705 user pair here, one really clean almost LNIB pair, plus my -1401 and a PS pre-production 705. The 705 was discontinued in 2002 or so and replaced by the aptly-named Sequel in the post above. The 705 is the perfect little brother to the 710, right down to the single set of cross-flutes to compliment the double on the 710.

Have a great day, y'all! Merry Christmas.

the two most "opposite" knives that could still be called "complimentary combo". Absolutely different countries, different price ranges, sizes, opposite context for appropriate use, technology, handle material, lock, steel, finish, weight...
so different and so fun, both are knives for a knife nut!

My most common daily carry is currently a ZT0095. For a few years now I have carried a Karambit as a secondary blade, reverse grip in my left (weak hand) pocket. I know Karambits are disliked by many around here, but I have found this combination to work well for me. I find it convenient to use at times when I am using my right hand to hold something. For example, if I am cutting some paracord that I am using to tie something down in the truck, I can pull the cord taut with my right hand, and then wave the karambit out of my left pocket to make the cut. This comes in handy quite often for me.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that I also carry it for self defense, but I will say that if I were ever in a situation where I needed a blade as an absolute last resort for defense, then a Karambit would be my first choice as far as folders go. I do have a trainer version, and I find that when I am in my natural fighting stance this design carried left (lead) hand reverse grip feels like an extension of my body, and also allows my strong hand to remain free.

I carried an Emerson Super Karambit for quite some time, but I recently switched to Brous due a concern with the Emerson opening in my pocket in an extreme situation (e.g. fall, car crash, etc.). Plus the acid stonewash finish matches the ZT Blackwash perfectly.

I also carry a Victorinox Swisstool Spirit (black oxide) at all times. I usually wear tru-spec 24/7 pants (or shorts that I had custom made locally), and I find that the Swisstool and my flashlight fit perfectly in the small knife pockets, and then I clip my blades in the primary hip pockets.

Now, for times when I am doing hard outdoor work, or something that I know will require a heavy-duty blade, I carry the combination of a Benchmade Adamas and a Griptilian.
