MO CCW here. I was carrying my Kel-Tec PF-9 thinking carrying a full size pistol would be a bit cumbersome, but once I got use to it my Glock model 22 is all I carry now.

That little SAK is probably the most used knife in my collection., comes in handy on an almost daily basis, and it only cost me $5! Even used it to pry open the back window of my truck when, like a moron, I locked my keys inside it.

I have licenses/permits from PA (home state, FL and Utah. I carry every day from when the pants go on in the morning until I get in the bed at night. I usually prefer a .45acp as my primary carry handgun. I switch off a lot, usually between an 1911 or my XD45 Service model.

I also sometimes carry a Ruger SP101 loaded with .38spl +P round when I want to conceal a little better. I have the DAO model that comes with the bobbed hammer. This is also my evening/night time carry gun in the house. I just slip it into my pants pocket in a pocket holster.

I always carry at least one spare mag when carrying an auto.

When I have to venture into the City of Kiladelphia I ALWAYS carry a BUG - either the SP101 or a little Kel-Tec 3AT.

Also I think that it is important to carry a good light at night. I carry a Surefire E2C model. This is also part of my carry gear for city trips.

Side note: I also always carry this light when I fly commercial. This and a large carabiner ride in my front pocket as non-lethal self defense weapons. Thus far TSA has not said a thing.

Dont have my CHL yet, but when I do I'll carry my HK USP Compact in 9mm. I'm also looking into a Ruger SP101 in .357.

Glock 27 with jeans IWB and tee, and Glock 23 OWB when weather allows me to wear my North Face fleece.
In my truck or car, usually a Mossberg 500 or my S&W AR-15 along with my BOB.

Although you don't "need" a CCW permit in Alaska, I have mine. Also belong to the NRA as someone mentioned earlier.

Current carry is either a Ruger LCP or Glock 23. I like the stopping power of the .40 S&W, but the convenience of the .380 makes it about the ideal weapon for concealed carry. Heck, I can even throw it in my pajama pants if I am so inclined.

Would like to get a S&W j-frame one of these days. But keep spending my gun fund on knives.

I carry my glock 17 in my truck, sometimes I will carry it open in a uncle mikes. the gun I carry for concealment is a naa 22lr loaded with snakeshot in my front pocket. before you even think of knocking me and saying snakeshot? wtf? that's not for personal defense! ask yourself a question, would you want to be shot directly in the face 5 times with snakeshot?

I rest my case!

I carry a Springfield 1911 as well. Not as often due to mag capacity.

Are all of them DAO semi autos or do you carry stuff like 1911's too?

I recently switched to a Tokarev for EDC, mostly for the novelty and because I'm just as good with it as I am with anything else. I'm a surplus gun collector. I really just think it's a cool gun and I like carrying it. Usually I carry a Springfield Armory 1911. I was EDCing a HK USP.40 for a while, but I gave it to my friend. Right now, I'm in the market for either another 1911 or a Glock 20. The 1911's I have now are awesome and perfect carry weapons..... but I've had them for a while and I want a new toy.

I have two concealed carry permits - Idaho and Utah. I usually carry my Ruger LCP or Ruger SP101. Sometimes I just open carry one of my 9mm pistols (Glock or S&W).

How many of my forum brothers and sisters carry a gun for personal defense (besides their favorite RAT, of course)? What is your favorite carry gun and caliber?

i carry my pistol everywhere i go. even when i'm pumping iron at the gym. i've never had and never will have a concealed weapons permit....i live in california:jerkit:
