Hey, if you can't take a bit of thread drift late at night, maybe the internet isn't for you. I, for one, welcomed a bit of levity.

Anyways, back to the regularly scheduled consternation.

Couldn't help myself.

I ordered a Monday 2.7 2nd. a month ago. Haven't heard or seen anything yet. Was there supposed to be a 10 or 15 day shipping on monday 2nd's or was that for a different order type?

Yeah, took over a month to ship my 15 day CFV 2nd 4.7. The stated 15 day (business days, mind) turnaround isn't rigidly followed, it seems.

So was it ever followed then? Has (anyone) actually gotten thier monday 2nd. in 15days+shipping time? As far as I knew, the 15 day commitment was a relatively newer commitment. Perhaps I read it wrong and it is just a best effort and not a garuntee. The Faq says "typically in 15 days" but I can't remember if the POS said 15 days or "typically 15 days". I can't remember. Do you remember Tim what the Point of sale note said?

When I bought, it was a written unambiguous statement, which was subsequently corroborated by them via their messaging system.

I'll call next week and ask for a status update. Shame I didn't get it in time for Deer Season.

Did you say Bubbles? Fun times at ridgemont high. I'm officially consternified.

Yeah, it's all relative — the price is decent enough if you're in Europe, I guess. Also, shelf stock exists. Survive's a bad reference point for pricing (ie. it's way too low given the level of scrutiny, materials, etc.), and that's probably part of their problem. Hell, even benchmade sells fixed blades that cost more than GSOs do, with lesser materials, and BM isn't exactly known for price-competitiveness.

Anyways, yeah — Moletta is a heck of a designer :) I'm pretty intrigued by the handles on the Enki and their M5/M7 knives. Look super comfortable.

Also, I think the Enki, being a 'knife research' knife, is actually designed by a different guy, who's company is called "knife research". Can't recall his name, but he's friends with Moletta, I think. For example, the Moletta/Lionsteel M7 started out as another Knife Research knife: the "Legion". Possible that the Enki will evolve into a less expensive regular-production Lionsteel too.

Aaaaaaand back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Hello. Thanks for compliments.

All Knife Research, Legion, Rasul and Enki are projected by me. Also the HT were studied by me. Lionsteel build those. "molletta" is write on blade. The other guy was the owner of the company.

Nexus line and MCKF line . On those there isn't "molletta" but are also my projects. ;)

KR I think now is out of business. I haven't recinved news in a long time.

I asked and got an update on my September Monday 2nd. gso 2.8 order made 38 days ago that was listed as "in-stock". It hasn't even been built yet.
I don't understand "build" something that was sold as an in-stock second and has 2 screws to bolt on a premade handle. Today marks 28 BUSINESS days since my order. I was notified today that it will be built up and shipped next week OR the following week which would put it at 30~39 BUSINESS days (not including weekends). This could easily put it at two months actual time. This is a good example of how communication of up-front expectations and lead-times could be improved. That said, props to Jordyn for responding fairly quickly.
I hope I see it before I get my deer.

It is possible that since October 5th, 2016 (the original post date of this thread) that they've become more sensitive to not shipping seconds before firsts. :)

Either way they're breaking timeframe commitments. It's arguable that they're breaking a more specific commitment in the case of late seconds given the 15-day claims given at the time of purchase. Shrug.

I got my Cruforge V second today, finally, for what it's worth. Nice knife - but that's for another thread.

Has anyone here considered filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and/or the Attorney General about these matters?

I cancelled my 4.5 and 6 pre-orders and they were kind enough to actually refund me.......so the company hasn't gone bust yet :D

I completely forgot I also had ordered a 4.1, but I think I'll wait another year or so before considering cancelling that one.

I just hope I get my 4.7 pre-order before the end of this year :(

Trolling is not my MO. I have been lurking on BladeForums for years and only recently registered an account. My background is a US military combat veteran and former LEO before retiring last year.

After reading through just about every post contained within numerous threads in this section it has become apparent that there are more than just a few customers that have legitimate concerns. My point is that things will continue to get worse unless customers take steps to correct these less than ideal business practices.

I used to think their products were the best value on the market but they have ruined their reputation by continuing to run roughshod on their customers, especially after receiving an interest free commitment from their supporters.

Flame away...

I would be thrilled to see Survive! not just persevere but thrive in their venture. I think their products are the best value on the market but they shouldn't continue to run roughshod on their customers, especially after receiving an interest free commitment from their supporters.

I understand where you're coming from. Let's hope Guy and Ellie can get everything running more smoothly next year!

Perhaps The Honorable Sir Donald Trump could help them operate their business more appropriately :p
Does this comment make me the troll now?!
