Cool names for knives!

I have often heard it said that a judge will look poorly on a name that sounds overly agressive, militaristic or shogun assassiny. At the same time it can be hard to remember names when you are a fan of many companies who use numbers as their naming convention.

Spyderco seems to do a pretty good job of not giving its knives violent names.

More fighting knives named “the snuggly bunny” plz.
(LEO and gun writer) Masaad Ayoob have written several articles on the subject.

According to MA, it is beyond any shadow of a doubt, that a gun being of a model name and/or emblazoned with 'Terminator,' 'Death Dealer,' 'Punisher' or any other silly tacticlol name gun companies or owners can come up with, will be to the distinct disadvantage for the owner/user in a court room, as its pure gold for the prosecutors who will paint you as a murderous loon for having a gun like that.
Self defense or no self defense - it has been known to land people in hot water.

Same applies for knives.

But I digress - back to regular scheduled programming.

Chris Reeve takes the cake for me. Like how all the names kind of resemble the knives the names are assigned to and also how they're in Zulu.

I could care less for the aforementioned 0123XTS, blah blah. Just doesn't strike it for me. When I'm talking knives with someone who isn't an aficionado CRK's names sounds more appropriate and classy than as if I'm referencing a military aircraft

Some favorites off the top of my head.

Al Mar-Shiva (the destroyer)

Spyderco- Harpy (a mythological monster that would destroy ships and had talons. The knife is meant for the sea/boat and blade resembles a claw)

Kershaw/Rexford- Entropy (a descent into choas)

Esee- Izula (bullet ant)

Just resently watched him as the Punisher.

Pleasently surprised but it was not for the faint of heart - it wasnt your granpappys Punisher movie with Jane and Travolta, thats fer sure.

Opposite end of the spectrum....Quartermaster knives!

Marty McFly, Mr Roper, Murtaugh, ....Bueller...The Fonz

I'm thinking up names for the Double-edged pikal/karambit hybrid I've got in the works and keep coming back to "Fail-Safe"

Ok, so it's not a knife, but my favorite name for a recently released item is Elon Musk's "Not a Flamethrower".

Also, not a brand name, but I like the word "puukko". It's the sound the knife makes when you use it!

I am surprised they don't have "Massmurderer" "Pigdestroyer" or "Bloodbath XL" or even the "Lynnja" perhaps next year...
Hehe Lynnja.. I think it's safe to assume Mr T has thought about something along these lines.

Uh...wut? o_O

The Norse gods Fallkniven have used to name their NL series is pretty darn cool:

Thor, Odin, Njord, Frej, Idun

If anyone can actually cite a real case where this has happened, I just might start to believe him. He also says reloads used in SD will land you in jail. He is a life long writer, competitive shooter, firearms instructor and a Part Time Cop in rural New Hampshire. I take his advice with a grain of salt.

Did you read the info provided in the link?

Dude is a font of knowledge and has been in many a courtroom.

Besides, Id say, its pretty much common sense.

It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see, that the prosecution will fry you on every detail - a knife named Death Bringer or Blood Drinker amongst them...

....unless Im missing something...

....please tell us, how - in your expert opinion - the above knife names or similar (Terminator et al) will be to your advantage at a self defense trial?
