Copperheads/Copperlocks: show time!

Right you are Ed (in a way...) but Queen is notorious for never up-dating that website of theirs:eek: It moved on to Amber Carved now to Zebra wood. Their Copperhead is still a great knife though:thumbup:

Defuault, thank you for those pix, that Carved Stagbone really suits the knife!

Well the website did show the birdseye maple and the zebrawood as well. But, I don't believe there's any of the CSB available anymore. The website doesn't show any ACSB, so it somewhat misled me into thinking that the CSB was being revived.

But they are nice anyway, but the CSB really looks sharp on that design.

Yep - that's the one I have. Is it available at retail? I'll have a look...

I looked at lots of different sellers and ebay and couldn't find any CSB Queens out there. So the website must just be out of date. Bummer too because that knife of yours is really nice looking.

Take care,
Ed

You guys are a bad influence on me.:D

Being a Wharncliffe nut and loving the swedges, I couldn't pass this one up.

Nice Mack! Case does a good job on that antique bone.

It's entirely your fault! If you hadn't shown me your Peanut I would not "need" a small slipjoint.

:D

Yep, this site and threads like this will really do a number on you. I bought a "gold lip pearl" Queen copperhead yesterday because 2manyknives posted that pearl one he had. A bad influence indeed. Now you have me looking at those Wharncliffe mini copperheads. Mack, if I wind up buying one, I'm going to tell my wife you made me do it.

Oh, and watch out for that "grail knife" thread. It is very dangerous.

She'll thank me for it.
Then she just might put it in her pocket.

Oh well, I've already admitted needing counseling, but I haven't posted this one here yet. I got it first part of the week. Smooth yellow bone large Copperlock:

This is a great thread. Thanks for starting it. The copperhead is my second favorite pattern. I do not have a copperlock yet. But I will once finaces improve.

Here are a few of mine:

Hen & Rooster w/ smooth white bone. Germany

Boker w/ Stag

Kissing Krane w/ Rams Horn
DPP_008.jpg

Case w/ natural smooth bone. I prefer Case's due to the pen & clip blades.

Antique bone. (I think.)

w/ dark red bone

WRC I think it is Chestnut. I forget.

I can't wait for Case to take the copperhead out of the stupid vault.

Ok so I've seen a few on here I really love, with a clip and or pen blade with a wharncliffe blade. Can someone please tell me where I would look for a case model like that.

Bill, really admire that Hen&Rooster White Bone and the Old Redbone from CASE, really good knives.

Pyro, Case has put the Copperhead and the large Copperlock pattern in the "vault" which means for some period of years they will not be producing any more of the Copperhead patterns. So, you will have to scour the marketplace to find an example of what you want. I have a red pick bone with wharncliffe main blade and pen secondary. You will see some of those from time to time.

There are several good suppliers of Case knives out there that might have what you are looking for in inventory, but they will be harder to come by as time goes by until Case brings the pattern back out of the "vault".

I was watching another one of those wharncliffe copperheads on a popular auction site with white bone handle, but did not bid because I have spent way too much on knives this month already.

Both the mini copperhead and mini copperlock patterns are still regular production. I like Mack's mini copperhead up a few posts with the wharncliffe and pen blade.

You should be able to find what you are looking for.

Just wanted to add that at 3 5/8, Case's "Mini Copperlock" is not that small. The name can be misleading, methink. Definitely one of my favorite pattern.

I've got two. One's a Queen Copperhead #41 in D2 just like the one Defaultuser posted a picture of earlier, and the other is a Case large Copperlock in orange G10.

Sorry for the rubbish picture. I need a decent camera.

I was the recent recipient of a gifted mini copperlock and thought I'd share a picture of it and its stablemate. The Copperlock was gifted to me by "willgoy" and the mini trapper I was lucky enough to win in Jason Baker's give away a few weeks back. They are both in second cut antique bone and now I have a small "collection" as a direct result of the generosity of these two fine forum members. I am grateful to both of these fine gentlemen. Here is a picture; I'm not sure I like it that much but I wanted to share with the forum.

I may try to get a better photo either this afternoon or tomorrow.
