I have a copperlock in blue bone(no pics yet sorry :( ) I would love to get my hands on the yellow one with cv and swap out the blades.

Here's my small CV Copperlock. Have a large just like it, but don't have a pic on file.
(edit...whoops, sorry for the oversized pic)

This Case Lg. Copperlock has been my go to hunting knife for the last 10 years. Notice the flat clip point-I almost always grind the upswept clip to a straight profile on my Case users.

Thanks, Todd. I was fortunate enough to purchase it a few years ago from one of our mutual forum friends. ;)

I blame you, Elliott. ;) I went on the hunt after seeing that beauty of yours and this CV Copperhead is on the way to me. :D

If I'm going to be blamed for stuff, that's a good thing to be blamed for. ;)

So you are the culprit ..... :D

I found that one (you know where), it was originally listed as SS, but looking at the
pics I noticed CV, So I sent the seller a note and asked, and was assured it was CV.
I didn't get the response until I got home from work, and it was already over.

Oh well, it went to a good home :D Those are hard to find

Ahhh, the 'bay is a harsh mistress... ;)

Sorry, Mike, but I'll take good care of it for us.:D

Indeed it is :D No worries Todd. Out of all the different variations Case has made of the 6249's, with the exception of the old Red Bones, the Chestnut cv is without a doubt my favorite.
BTW, Elliott posted up a couple really nice, new pics of his in the, "What are you carrying" thread

This is a #6200 CV, made in 1997, with the blade configuration of a spey instead of the pen.

Is this pattern more rare, and/or more collectable than the #6249, or less so?

I just like it for the amber stag bone handles and the CV steel, but I am curious.

I would think yours would be a little harder to come by. At least in the lookings I have done over the years. That one has really nice looking scales

CV Case arrived today. The backspring on the pen is the slightest bit proud in the open position. Otherwise, it's perfect.

Nice one, Todd. Enjoy that beauty!

I picked up a Chinese-made Kissing Crane Copperhead, with synthetic Yellow handles, out of curiosity.
For a 1/4 of the price of my large Yellow handled Case CV Copperlock, the build quality and fit-n'-finish, is quite good.
