Count them! Who owns the most folding knives on BladeForums?

I've never counted my collection, especially when it was at it's largest so I guess that's an epic fail LOL... My collection is around 150 I think by my estimate, a mix of production folders & fixed blades with some custom fixed blades thrown in for fun.

Some of mine in groups shots (sort of ):

Great topic.
Completely understand what which constitutes, "moderate in amount" for a knifenut could be subjective.
So lets try not make it on breaking news...

Holy gawd! I am speechless. What is her BladeForums user name?

I'm not really sure, but it's somewhere between 500 and 700. I haven't counted them in around 5 years since its really a chore. No pictures because it's too many to photo also.......

Thanks! There used to be more but I sold or gave em away LOL...

That's not all of em; really wish I could set up a group shot of everything all at once just for kicks but you'd need a microscope to see anything I think.

It appears to me that the conclusion I should draw from this discussion is that as far as my wife can tell, I don't have a problem until the count is well into triple digits.

That's a great thumbrule and it means I have some room to grow!

Yeah, triple digits can be anywhere from mild enthusiast to a problem developing. Now when you hit four digits, it's time for an intervention......for us I mean.....to catch up. [emoji12]

Not sure how many folders he has but if you to the gallery thread and check out tactical fixed, a gentleman from Russia, screen name MAKANDR has the most impressive collection I've ever seen. Easily a couple thousand knives. Have a look

Andrey Mak's collection is pretty rad! :)

For me quality always trumps quantity and of course quality can only be determined by the owner.

And the "Mall Ninja of the Year" award goes to...

The "second kind of cool" phenomenon, say what?

What nutnfancy calls "second kind of cool" is the intrinsic value of the knife that the end user may perceive as cool or badass, there's just something about the knife that makes someone love it, even if others don't see it, it can't be argued with.

Ah, Ok now I get it.

Have hovered around 100 for the past few years, not counting fixed blades. Lately I have been either selling off the less carried, more common production models or having them customized if I really like the design (thanks Sketchen Scales!). Hope to have around 50 folders (mostly custom or high-end production) by the end of the year.
