couple of jungle photos

Excellent folder, will RC do a colaberation with Blade tech on the RC folder ? or is that to far in the future to discuss ?

Ok, let's put it this way, Tim and us have been talking about it but there is nothing nailed down presently. You don't get any better than Blade-Tech, IMO.

This particular folder has some design features that ONLY someone who's been in the bush using a folder would know to do when they designed it. I won't get into it here since I'm writing a story for TK on some knives that will include this one but, no shit, it's the best survival folder on the market, IMO, and I've used a LOT of folders in the field.

Thanks for the insight Jeff,I am glad I pick one up..Now I want the G10 Orange handle one to match my RC4(Green& orange) upon there release.

bear was that blade tech yours ? or a sample blade... I carry my PH model and it is a great folder...hard to beat...

Wow awesome pics, if the knife business doesn't work out for ya'll(which I'm postive it will) I don't think you guys would have any trouble getting jobs as photographers!!

Can't wait to see more!

I really didn't feel like I needed a RC-6 until this thread, damn you guys.

I didn't feel that way either until I held it and put it to work. Wow it is easily going to be leader of 6-7 inch blade lengths! We put it to work like you can't imagine.

I seriously thought the Indian guy using the RC-6 was going to break the knife. All you could hear was a bunch of popping and snapping as he used a baton to beat the RC-6 through and sever the head. Then he flipped the gator over on its back and started beating the knife down its belly to slit it open. I took a look at it after he was finished and it was like he never even used it. I don't know how many of you have ever cleaned an alligator but it's probably one of the toughest animals there is to dress out. You literally have to beat a knife through the belly hide and skewts when you're cutting off the legs and tail.

I'm surprised that no one has asked about the pic with the fire burning. That is resin from the Copal tree found in the jungle. It's a lot like the pine fatwood we have here. It's not real easy to find in the jungle, but when you do you know your fire building is going to get a LOT easier.

Anyway, we stumbled across a piece of Copal resin and thought it made an interesting photo. We never used it to build our jungle fires since we wanted to test our skills at building fire without it. Fire is one of the hardest skills to master in this particular jungle...but we've got it down to a science. It just takes a lot of patience. We taught this skill to our TV star right after a rain when the jungle was completely wet. He told us he failed though during his time in the jungle by himself. He didn't take enough time to properly gather and process his materials before striking that spark.

This is the real Isula Bullet Ant on the Izula knife:

OK, I think that ant could kick my ass and carry me away.

Am I the only one who instantly had a thought of living there?
