I must say I have enjoyed not only the creativity but the photography work in this thread. It may just be me , but I notice a overall general increase in photo skills here in traditional sub-forum in the last year or so.

This could be cover shot of an article about the usefulness of a pocketknife in general

(Preparing this pic was the biggest fun, you can believe me! :D )

I agree with Ken, as months go by the quality in pictures on this subforum has increased alot...and I believe it's due to the fact that some of us have real talent and somehow this drags others to try. So that's what I will do soon.
Meanwhile...I will save the "Charlie vs TB" thing to cheer up my moments of sadness :D hoping I never see that book printed anywhere

That has certainly been the case for me. I have learned so much just by observing the photos posted here. I have a long way to go, but am picking up good ideas constantly from those of you who do have real talent.

The quality of the pictures has (mostly) improved nicely! Great work everyone!!

(Gevonovich, I hope you don't mind ummmm . . . . . . .humor
mag covers in your thread!!)
I'm enjoying the comments here and there!;)

Ken, its not just you, I too have noticed this, people like Johnnytwoshoes, Kevin and Rick I believe are a lot of the inspiration, Fes and Doug have upped the anti big time as well!...its great to see as we are all benefiting from it.
Charlie-the shots of your collection are simply an inspiration to us-what grouping of such fantastic knives-one - yet alone how many you have, it must take a lot of work to put together a display board of such.

I enjoy all of your creative minds and ideas!
I remembered something Robert Dilts said of the creative process of Walt Disney...

I will just quote it verbatum

"Creativity as a total process involves the coordination of these three subprocesses: dreamer, realist and critic. A dreamer without a realist cannot turn ideas into tangible expressions. A critic and a dreamer without a realist just become stuck in a perpetual conflict. The dreamer and a realist might create things, but they might not achieve a high degree of quality without a critic. The critic helps to evaluate and refine the products of creativity."

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, inspiration, talents, contributions, and kindness

I needed a B&W design for a recent batch of blank knife collection catalogs. Came up with this:
