I see your Jack and raise my Roman. Despite his menacing looks, he's a very shy and sweet pup. He thinks that all dogs are kind souls just like he is and he gets quite startled when they bark or snarl at him!

Lost him today. Surgery was pushed back, cancer spread to his lungs. I don’t know what was worse .. seeing him in pain, or saying goodbye. The next right thing had to be done. Best friend I’ve ever had. RIP Charlie Boy.
Love the shit out of your pets. Treat them well. They do more for us than most will ever realize.

so sorry for your loss. Saying goodbye to my dogs when the time comes is probably one of the most difficult things in my life, and I understand what you're going through. Helping them to pass over is the last, possibly greatest, gift we can give them, but it is so difficult, and for me the loss hurts for a long, long, time, only somewhat tempered by remembering the joy they brought to our lives. My most recent loss was almost two years past, but thinking of her or seeing her picture still brings tears to me. I miss her so. That dogs can have that effect on us is a testament to their love and companionship.

So sorry to hear that. Your Charlie boy could almost have been a twin of my Sadie girl. It's always so hard when that time comes for our dog/family members. My Sadie has cancer too, but so far I've been able to keep her happy and loving life with surgery and chemo, but the clock is ticking...
