CPK Pet Thread

Cats are cool. This is Tesla, after we got her. She literally picked me in the shelter, I was sitting in her little room with 2 other cats and my wife, and she was all over me for half an hour:

Used to be feral, you can see from her right clipped ear; was dropped off at the shelter for adoption after S&N. She must have been about a year old back then. We drove by a car vendor on our way home from the shelter, that's how she got her name.

Roland.

This one we picked from the same place a few months afterwards. Called Tucker, to keep the car theme :) He was dropped off by his previous owner who - due to age - was not allowed to keep a pet any longer.

You've maybe seen him in some of my knife photos :)

Our male doesn't like to drink water out of the bowl for some reason...he just plays with it and makes a mess. But he'll go in the tub after someone takes a shower and lick up the water. If we turn a faucet on, he sticks his head under it such that the water runs down the side of his head and onto his paw, and then licks it off the paw. Very odd.

We start off the day getting the truck washed..

On the Navajo Reservation in Alamo we stopped at this old home. Found an old can next to the burned frame.

As we are just out enjoying the day we decided to head to the Magdalena Ridge Observatory which is on top of Baldy Peak (I think it's called. It was our first time there.)

The road is pretty close to the edge a lot of the 7.5 mile drive up there. The elevation gets to about 10,700'..

Finally seeing the Observatory in the distance.

This old non-Ford truck has seen its days.

And as we make it back down and cross this little creek bed we say goodbye. :)

Cisco and Bootsy -
Work squirrels. Been feeding these feral bastards unsalted almonds for about 3 months. They act like dogs. Pretty sure Cisco knocked bootsy up. These two aren’t food. They each have quite a personality. Tree dogs
