MB, sending heartfelt condolences your way on losing Judge. Those GSDs can become the most wonderful, fun, loyal, fierce and fearless dogs with good training, discipline, care and love. Saying goodbye to one stings to no end 😥. My sympathies to you and yours. Judge looks to have attained the ultimate badge of honor among our doggy companions, "he was such a good boy".
 
Thank you all for the kind words and for allowing me to indulge with the short public eulogy. It helped a little just to share as I was processing through things this morning. You all are too kind. Much appreciated.

So sorry for your loss. It's always hard, and yet we risk it again and again when we give our hearts away...
 
It finally hit MT that the coyotes are knocking at the door. Might have to knock back soon…
