CPK Pet Thread

Little Truffles crossed over the Rainbow Bridge a few hours ago. He was almost 17 1/2 and had been with me since he was a wee tiny kitten at ~ 8 weeks old. We both felt at peace and he transitioned very peacefully while I was by his side throughout, kudos to our great vet and his staff. The pic below is an older one but his face remained just as cute till quite recently when he started going downhill fast. IMO, he had earned the honor of being a called a CPK-Pet because he was such a good kitty. RIP little Truffles.

Went to vet for Skyler's annual wellness exam and vaccinations today and to have the "lipoma" looked at. Other than being an otherwise healthy, happy dog, the vet did run some cytology and feels convinced that though he doesn't see the standard malignancy, he thinks it's a sarcoma (liposarcoma or other) and that we should be prepared for her condition to change over time for the worse. Wouldn't be worth operating on or doing chemo, and I wasn't planning to anyway.

So, we are just going to ride it out and enjoy each day she has left...whether days, weeks, months or years.

No need to express any sympathy...just sharing with my friends. I've already made my peace with it, and I think Tina has for the most part as well.
