My pomeranian knocked himself unconscious the other night. Scared the heck out of me. He tried to jump up on the couch and fell off. Somehow he smacked his head on the ground; totally starched himself. His legs were sticking straight out, stiff as a board. It took him about an hour to completely get back to semi-normal. It freaked me out, I thought he might not pull through.
Crazy dog.

That sucks man, would scare me too. Glad to hear he's alright. The little yappy ones are always the wildest haha

We took one from rescue that was severely traumatized. The vet said it was the worst he had seen and he was not a young guy. If you reached down to pet him he would roll over, squeal and start peeing. Took a few weeks before he would sit or lay by me but 8 years later he follows me step for step, sits on my lap and is a great dog. He still cowers down (minus the rolling over and pee) when attempting to pick him up but the major issues melted away in a relatively short time. I swear he knows every curse word in the book. He hops down off the couch and to his crate he goes if you say any of them at a volume. Someone was really mean to him somewhere. All 7lbs of him and not a bad habit. No biting, chewing, destroying anything or accidents in the house. I just don’t get the why
I bet you will get there. Takes knowing they are in a safe place and some time.

Funny thing is that he's not yappy at all. I made sure to train him not to bark. Don't like those barking little dogs that annoy everyone with all that noise

Good job on that ser. I didn't mean to imply he was, I just tend to associate pomeranians with that shrill sound 😅

My wife wants one, gonna need to see if we can achieve this level of training as well!

You just have to start from day one. It's real cute when they're pups so people let them bark. Then they can't get rid of the bad habit they instilled.
