My parents had a Schnauzer. They kept me from having a dog...and when I went away to university...first thing they did was get a dog. (Not sure what it says about me.) He lived to a ripe old age.

He only ever bit each of my sisters' husbands.

Smart friggin' dog.

I should have included people. He's never bit bit a person but he has killed more than few groundhogs, squirrels, and possums. Only the latter of which I didn't appreciate

My brother had a Schnauzer. I like the miniature sized ones but there are also the standard and a giant sized Schnauzer.

I take ours to Southern states do it yourself. Then somebody else gets to clean up the tub and there is no bathroom clean up.

They were bred to kill vermin and they're good at it.
