Oh, I sincerely hope there are dogs in heaven.^^^^^^^^I sincerely appreciate the kind words, reassurances, and condolences from all of you. It occurred to me while reading each sentiment that all of you know the feeling and it helped me stay steadfast and offer love and support to Kona, my wife, and children. A heartfelt thank you !!!
Kona is at peace now. She was a wonderful part of our lives and the memories of her will be cherished. It may sound cheesy (but when has that ever stopped me) but I truly hope that ā all good dogs go to heavenā. She was 170 pounds of pure love, loyalty, and goodness.
Best regards to all of you fine folks !
Michael
A beautiful vision !Oh, I sincerely hope there are dogs in heaven.
I have a daydream that when I get there, my old bird dog, Koa, will be waiting, with that "let's go, boss! " look he got. And there will be one big field of native grass, so big that I cannot walk it in a day, or a week. So big it goes on to the horizon. It's that perfect, golden, CRP kind of field. And my dog goes out into that ocean of grass and finds me a bird again. That would be wonderful.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Michael. Some say losing a dog is harder than losing a person and I have to say I often agree. She's definitely waiting for you on the other side of the rainbow bridge^^^^^^^^I sincerely appreciate the kind words, reassurances, and condolences from all of you. and I don't know why we put ourselves through that over and over again.
Congratuation on the immense accomplishment, Elliott. 37 years of marital bliss, that is wonderful !We lasted three months after Smoky passed. We lasted ten days after Skyler passed. Seems we don't do well without a dog in the home.
(It was our 37th anniversary last week.)
The pain we feel at their passing is the price we pay for their love and companionship. They turn a house into a home.
