Im in agreement there. The only problem I ever had with the Zaan clip is it was constantly snagging on things and coming out of my pocket. I can‘t explain it but it doesn’t happen with any other of my CRK past or present but happened with every zaan Ive owned.

Not saying it can't happen...I just haven't seen one yet that makes me want to jump. Maybe a different blade profile...anyway...back to the Umnumzaan.
 
The Zaan is pretty comfortable for me, I haven't had any issues with the clip placement creating hot spots; if anything the bump on the lock bar is what takes a little getting used to. I like the Zaan quite a bit, it isn't my favorite CRK; that honor goes to the Inkosi. The blade on the Zaan is wonderful however, the "spoon on the poon" is really comfortable while cutting.

Yeah, ya know I forgot to mention the tab on the lockbar as well. That is actually the only thing that I'm not too big on with the Zaan. I've learned to be ok with it, however the way it's milled, it kind of digs into my thumb when I unlock it. It's no problem if you're just pulling the knife out, cutting something, and putting it back in the pocket like a normal person. However I like to play with my knives pretty much wherever I am, except around people, and it can start irritating the ol' thumb after a bit. I've thought about kind of easing the sharpness off of it a little bit, however I'd really have to have a professional do it for it to turn out nice. On the other hand, that tab really helps a guy out when you're deep in a job and are wearing leather gloves. I can flip and unlock this knife with even my oversized leather gloves, and I believe that's really what Chris had in mind when he designed it.

Looking online the zann seems out of stock at the present time along with most other full sized CRKs other than left handed or tantos.

I need to try one. I have a small insigno ionokosi and small insigno 21 as well as a mandi. Never owned a full sized but will at some point.

It’s a completely different experience. I only owned and carried small for 7 years, tried a full size and its all I own and carry now.

Just wait for the right one to come up in the Exchange ... will only take a couple of days.

The full sized CRK's are at a totally different level, I was totally blown away by my Large Inkosi! My small 31 works great for discreet carry, but the Inkosi will be seeing a lot of pocket time.

Thanks for the heads up but I am too late! I need to digest a couple other expenses first, but I will get some funds put away and start prowling the For Sale section!

I'll let you know if I could ever find one to buy... I see tons of Sebenzas and Inkosis of various sizes, haven't seen an Umnumzaan for sale in a while. Last one I remember seeing was a frag pattern one on monkeyedge that was sold out before I even got to the site

You're not checking often enough. There have been several for sale lately. (I know because I bought one.)
