I'll update once she's all finished up.

And she's all bundled up ready for bed.

hehe yes indeed, actually a pretty thick blanket too, a little thicker than I usually use for this type of sheath. Made it a bit harder to form, but came out pretty well.

Well the Journey is almost done, sheath is finished up tonight, ended up using a nice Celtic embossing that has a V like shape to it, part homage to the V in Vallotton plus I like Celtic type things in general and Jed gave a thumbs up on my choice, what he didn't know was, that I planned to do the two tone on the sheath, so that it echo's the two tone of the handle hardware and nice lace wood scales. Overall it's one tough sheath, should last a good long time.

Thanks for letting me join in on part of this journey Jed !

That's beautiful!

Sorry to be Debbie Downer, but is that chipping out of one of the previous clip holes?????

Hi Debbie, :)
I don't think it has changed since the attempt to cover them up was made, just a hard thing to completely hide I think.

Yeah. As Gary said, the attempt to fill the holes proved far more difficult than either Josh or I anticipated. The compound didn't play nice with the cerakoting process. But it's better, in my opinion, than the original look with the holes. :D

OK then, I am glad to see that it is not perfect :) Would be hard to justify to carry if it was. I say use it :)

I thought for what was done it looks great!

Blade and handle scales are really nice

And thanks guys about the sheath

Haven't seen this thread in a couple of months, Jed.....looks great! Still need to have Gary do a sheath for my Dua.

So after wrestling with USPS and going on a scavenger hunt this evening, I finally got the Vallotton back.

Crappy teaser pic. I'll post more when I have some better light. But this thing'll be on my hip for a while.

I've gotta say, the combined efforts of Josh, Steve, and Gary made for a stunning package! I swear the wood scales shaved an ounce or two off the weight of the knife. And the sheath is top-notch quality. Everything came together to make a wild dream come true.

Dude, I'm stunned and speechless.

Wow! Major props to the craftsmen who made this happen! Some of you I know well already, but I never knew I needed such an awesome leather sheath until now. Jed, I'm pleased to have played the tiniest of parts in this story, but you took the simple seed I gave you and grew it into an amazing work of art. I'd say enjoy it, but I'm sure you're just sitting in a room now drooling over it! Cheers, Radioactive ;)
