I know people have said that BudK sells junk but I've also heard that there are a few passable blades and that the name brand products are actually okay so I was looking for a couple of blades for going out into the woods in case i have to defend myself against werewol- I mean bears and my gun jams or misfires or something, so i wanted something small and single edged for fast swinging and a long and double edged for greater reach and quick stabbing so i picked two out (can't put links to BudK so I'll just name them)
US Marine 1942 Soldier Sword
Honshu Broadsword With Scabbard

They're both name brands, Honshu and USMC, so i thought they'd be of okay quality but I'm no expert so i would like some educated opinions and maybe some alternatives that aren't too expensive that anyone can point me to.

Welcome.
There are plenty of options you're after and lots of folks around here that will point you in the right direction.
But you'll first be directed to delete the links in your post, the dealers need to be a supporting member around here to be linked.

You're better off with bear spray, if bears are your concern. (And silver bullets, if you're worried about werewolves.)

USMC is not a knife brand. The Corp doesn't make their knives - that work is contracted out to various manufacturers, and those are the name brand you would be looking for.

Honshu... Isn't that a United Cutlery line? If so save your money. While some of their products are usable, the consistency isn't great & the failure rate is pretty high; so I wouldn't recommend using them in situations in which such failure would be a problem. (ie trying to defend against a bear, or as a survival tool.
*Edited to add - I got curious and looked up the review on SBG. The sword was sent free for review, so I suspect it was given a preliminary inspection by BudK; but it held up to the testing and got a decent review. I then started looking elsewhere and found the sort of things I expected - unsightly gaps, parts rattling or loose on receipt, bending or breaking with little use, rattling or loose parts after use, and (of course) complaints about it being overly dull.
Looks like you've got a shot at getting a decent piece with this one...but there's a reasonable risk that you won't.

Thanks for the advice but if you think I'm joking about werewolves AKA Dogmen then you are living in blissful ignorance and I envy you, I suggest you don't look up any info on them unless you want to feel scared every time you go into the woods.

Would you mind never posting again? Thanks.
You think I'm crazy don't you? That's fine, better that way, you'll live a happier life, just try to stay out of the woods, that goes double for your kids, if you have any and if you live near the woods remember to lock all your doors and windows before bed.

I don’t think or care much at all about your mental status, I’d just appreciate it if you’d stop posting and go away. You’re annoying.

Personally, I be interested in reading more posts from a guy who wants a sword to fight werewolves.

I've seen a lot posted on this forum over the past 20 years, but I've never seen that. 😁
This!

My understanding is that fighting werewolves without a silver weapon is a fools errand. Fortunately if you do happen to have a silver weapon it also works against witches. Unfortunately BudK doesn't sell silver weapons. Fortunately Clint over at Budk keeps pretty good tabs on market trends so if there is a need for silver coated blades you can bet he'll come up with a cheap Chinese knock off version. Unfortunately that might take some time. Fortunately werewolves are pretty rare in this neck of the woods. Bigfoot probably got them.

Also someone reviewed the honshu broad sword over in the sword forum here. It was not impressive.

I live in a desert, but that probably just means they're hiding behind the cactuses. Say, I wonder if Chris Reeve does silver inlay...
