Crap or nah?

I have now done my research on the Dogmen, and it has been eye-opening to see this world that was previously hidden from me. They are here, and we must accept them. There are two possible conclusions:

1) Dogmen are real. They stalk the forests, evade the cameras, and appear to a lucky few, who do not feel so lucky, because these creatures are formidable and scary.
2) Schizophrenia

I'm going with 2), but other opinions are possible.

I made the mistake of doing an internet search. There's a whole other subculture of people that believe in this cyptid out there. The source that I thought was one of the more amusing tells us that dog man type 3s look much like sasquatch but with a pointy dog face instead of a flat big foot face. The implication is that the reader can easily recognize the more common big foot!

I'm thinking that we might have a new contender for hide and seek world champion with the advent of these things.

I know people have said that BudK sells junk but I've also heard that there are a few passable blades and that the name brand products are actually okay so I was looking for a couple of blades for going out into the woods in case i have to defend myself against werewol- I mean bears and my gun jams or misfires or something, so i wanted something small and single edged for fast swinging and a long and double edged for greater reach and quick stabbing so i picked two out (can't put links to BudK so I'll just name them)
US Marine 1942 Soldier Sword
Honshu Broadsword With Scabbard

They're both name brands, Honshu and USMC, so i thought they'd be of okay quality but I'm no expert so i would like some educated opinions and maybe some alternatives that aren't too expensive that anyone can point me to.

Freaking Awesome! Especially for Only 74.99 😁 You better jump on that BudK can't hold a candle to that.

Tonto, thanks to you and this thread, I spent most of last night hunting and being hunted by lycanthropes. I learned quite a bit and I will share it with you in hopes you find it useful.

They are indeed fierce adversaries, fast, strong and clever. They heal quickly but are not immortal. A good shot with a .357 magnum loaded with hard cast 158 grain semi jacketed flat point bullet will kill them. Heart or head shots recommended as most effective. Shoot one in the leg and it just makes him or her angrier.

Crows and Ravens are their allies helping them to know their enemy's locations and movements. So always be careful around Crows and Ravens when you are in dogman country. I am a personal ally of crows and ravens and they told me of this relationship.

As fierce as they are, dogmen do not always kill or kidnap. They like to count coup much like other native Americans. When they do this, it's not gentle and will leave a mark. They do have and use war clubs for this purpose as well as serious fighting.

Cannot recommend any knife for SD against dogmen. They are far too fast and strong for you to hope for a successful outcome. A sword would be better but still sub optimal. A spear would be a good non-firearm choice. When it comes to firearms, powerful handguns, shotgun with slug or 00 buckshot (no smaller shot size) or a good centerfire rifle - say .308 or .30-06 is your best option. No scope sights. Engagements will be fast and at close range making a scope a liability instead of an asset.

Good luck, be alert at all times and stay safe out there.

I’m starting to crap my pants a little bit, archery season is coming up real soon and now I have to wonder if dogmen will be following me around. It’s one thing to be attacked, I just don’t want them stealing my good spots!
Heard one story about a guy that bowed down a deer in a clearing and a bigfoot immediately charged out and snatched up the deer mid-stride and took off with it.

Phone cameras, trail cameras, doorbell cameras, security cameras, dash cameras, friggin cameras on satellites and yet no one can get a clear shot of Bigfoot. That guy remains hide a seek world champion.

Thanks though blades are just a backup plan, I intend on getting a good .44 Magnum revolver to carry around, though I feel a spear would be a bit too cumbersome, a sword would be easier to carry around especially in a forest but i don't know much about spears so maybe your right.
