OK. OK. I was mistaken about the caps. I appoligize for saying you broke your caps lock key. I had to go back through and read all the emails. But you did call me arrogant and a "whining b*t*h".

Am I getting a refund if the knife doesn't come or not? You STILL haven't definitively told me what you're going to do if the knife never arrives. You didn't reply to the "Let's wrap this up" part of my post.

And no I didn't call you a whining bitch, You accused me of wanting your forum name so I could complain about you on here and I said I don't do things like that because "I'm" not a whining bitch! Are you going to apologize or what? I told you that I was going to refund your money if you didn't get the knife...a long time ago and that is very clear to everyone on here. But you have already lied about what was said in emails and now you have lost my trust.

as the peacemaker I will say this..I have dealt with both Crazy Nicky and Fullolead...both are honorable people as far as I am concerned..I Believe Nicky when he says he shipped the knife..dam shame you didnt insure it...I always insure..its only a few bucks but I think the USPS pays more attention to delivery confirmation and insured priority packages. I hope you guys can both cool down..its dissapointing for everyone..hope the knife arrives..

Q. Does Delivery Confirmation provide for tracking and tracing?
A. No, Delivery Confirmation service confirms delivery date and time. While en route scans may be provided when available, they are not a feature of Delivery Confirmation service.

The number provided by CN is most likely legitimate. Delivery cofirmation numbers are not tracking numbers. I have had two packages sent to me that only had delivery confirmation numbers and the only time any info showed up was after the package was delivered. This is not a feature that is of any benefit to the person receiving the package (unless someone else at the delivery address received the package and neglected to mention it), because having received the package, you already know it was delivered.

Mail delivery can be very erratic. Sometimes you will get a package in a couple of days and sometimes it will take a couple of weeks. There is no rhyme or reason. I never start to worry until it has been a couple of weeks since something was mailed to me. Panic doesn't start to set in until after three weeks.
 
Now that I am thinking of it...another reason this knife may be delayed is because I don't think I mailed this one priority mail, I did get a delivery confirm though! I mailed alot of sh!t that week so maybe that is what happened. I'll check my records Monday to see how I shipped it. I have my own postage machine at work and what I owe in postage is deducted from my check and is on an excel file. I'll check it on Mon...that could be another reason for the delay. I most certainly shipped it though...I would never screw someone intentionally on this forum... just because I know it would suck if I got screwed! Listen, you'll be fully compensated if you don't get this knife you have my word...but I wouldn't count out that this knife will eventually show up. Just this week I kept getting this guy from the Bronx paycheck... all week! It was mailed from NYC and made it to Boston... even if I put it back out in the mail it would comeback! So lets see...

You can't get delivery confirmation if it wasn't sent priority.

I believe you and I appreciate that. I never doubted that you shipped it. I've been running under the assumption from the beginning that the PO lost it.

Despite what others have posted, Delivery Confirmation does indeed allow you to track a package. I use it all the time. This one must have not been entered to begin with or something as someone suggested earlier.

Perhaps it'll even come back to you or I'll get it in one of those clear plastic mail bags that they sometimes put things in if it's damaged or misrouted or something.

We'll talk next time someone knows something new. Until then, let's put this dog to rest. It's the weekend.;)
 
Their website says you can, my post office says you can't. I'll go with the website. Sorry about that.
 
I just mailed a package out this morning by Priority Mail. My receipt is dated 9/06 Time 09:14am. When I check the tracking on the USPS site, the tracking number shows up as being dropped off at the post office on 9/06 at 9:14am. That's right, they entered the number while I was there! I've never received a package that didn't have the number in the system, but I have had the package for over a day before it showed as being delivered. USPS has always been good for me.

I am just going by what it says on the USPS website and my own two experiences. I could not track either one of the packages shipped to me with Delivery Confirmation.
 
USPS sometimes is not on par. I had a package delivered with D/C and still when I look in the system is shows that it wasn't delivered even though it was in Nov 02.

You can get Delivery Confirmation with Priority Mail .I used it all the time. Now I use return reciept with almost all my packages.That is for extra security and a piece of mind.

I see that the 'disscussion' between Crazy Nicky and myself has been resurected. I'm not sure why. Whatever problems Nicky and I had then don't really seem to apply here (as far as I can tell, anyway).

It doesn't sound to me as though enough time has passed for anyone to be making accusations or getting all 'cranky'.

-We all know that the USPS can be 'iffy' at times.
-We all know that Sh*t Happens.
-You CAN use DC on packages that are other than Priority.
-Maybe insurance would have been a good idea here.
-Nicky has already said he'll make this right if it doesn't show up.

I think that Nicky and I both learned a bit from our interaction in the past. We may or may not like each other now, but I don't really see how our problems in the past have any real relevance on this matter.

I personally would wait a while and see how things shake out.

Nicky's not stupid. He doesn't want to completely screw himself out of ever having another dealon this forum again. I'm sure this will work out.

Both of you please be sure and post whether or not the knife arrived, or if a refund was issued.
