Crazy Nicky is trying to screw me!

Guys, the only reason I "jumped the gun" and posted here was that negotiations had quickly soured after he offered to "split" the value with me if the knife didn't arrive and was I looking for some help.

(All I wanted was a reassurance from the guy that he was going to take care of me if the knife was lost but, instead, he offered to "split" the value and then told me "we'll see".)

So, I came here to get other people's input. This section of the forum has always been good to help people with their disputes as well.

Now that I see how this has snowballed, I regret doing that. I didn't mean for anyone to beat up on him. I just wanted someone ELSE to tell him that half wasn't fair and that if it doesn't arrive he should refund the full amount.

But this has gone WAY beyond that and I'm sorry, Crazy Nicky, for even starting this thread.

I'm sure he sent it and I bet the knife arrives this week sometime and Nicky HAS told me that if it doesn't that he'll give me all my money back.

When I said "we'll see", I meant "we'll see" if the knife shows up. Not we'll see if you get you money. That's why I asked you "If you wouldn't mind the split"...you minded so that was the end of the story and you you were going to get all of your money back. Simple as that...I'm not a bad guy. I don't mind refunding all the money if you don't get it...I just thought you might be willing to work with me in the situtation. And that's that...

I would deal with crazy nicky, no problem at all. I would be pissed also, if someone started up a thread like this, and claimed right in the subject, in no uncertain terms, that I was trying to screw them.
Yeah, I'd be upset alright, and just like when I'm looking right at someone, I would not bother mincing any words either.
Especially for the usual crowd that always finds their way into these threads and starts acting holier than thou and insisting on rules for buying/selling/trading.

This whole thread is senseless, and I really would think about dealing with fulloflead now, after seeing how he handled this and how casually he called into question someones intentions.

Crazy Nicky,
OK. That's fine. But that wasn't clear from your email:

"We'll see...as much as I think you're trying to pull a fast one right now. I sent this knife...what's your forum name?"

Do we have to keep beating this horse? My last post was an appology for even starting this thread, in case you didn't notice.:)

Have you read this whole thread?
So you missed the part where he was the first one to say he thought I was trying to pull a fast one and later insinuated that I might take the refund and keep the knife when it arrived?

Like I said I was wrong for saying that stuff and it was due to the fact that I wasn't comfortable with the transaction from the start. Sorry...

OK, fair enough.

Sorry, I used the "trying to screw" phrase in my title of this thread. I could have just said "help" or something. (Even though I regret starting it at all in light of the way this thing has snowballed.)

At the risk of dragging this out further, what were you not comfortable with? The fact that I was trying to talk you down on your price?

I just threw that price out there in case you didn't get a better offer and were willing to accept it.

How about you beat the bag out of the mail man for taking so long. Listen, fullolead...I don't want to get into the whys and what nots...lets just see if this package arrives.

For what it is worth, I bought a knife from Crazy Nicky a few months ago. He e-mailed me a confirmation number the day he shipped the knife. The confirmation number never showed up on the USPS website. I had the knife in my hands two days later. I then checked the USPS website again and it still had no record of the package. The confirmation number was listed on the box, so I know it was the right number. I did not check again after that to see if it ever showed up later. I had the knife and did not care. Maybe it had something to do with him sending it from work like I think he mentioned in an earlier post. Anyway, I had a good transaction with Crazy Nicky and would not hesitate to deal with him again.

Jerry

I've bought plenty of things from people off the internet. I ALWAYS make sure that the item is shipped insured. In my opinion, that is the buyer's responsibilty, unless the item for sale was sold as "price includes shipping and insurance".

This is the reason why I am going to ship UPS from now on. I just mailed my Greco Baby Whisper out UPS today. USPS just sucks! UPS never misses a beat and never lose anything...I do have faith that this knife WILL show up though!

I can tell you one thing, As gruff as he has been, I have gained a new respect for Crazy Nicky. After what was posted in a previous thread I was left with the impression that he was a bit of a jerk. I no longer think so. I would have no problem dealing with him whatsoever.

I think that about covers it. No need to keep this rhetoric up any longer. Let's wait and see if the knife arrives.

I also need to add that this forum is not a place to try and circumvent the foul language censor; this is a family style forum, and while I understand that emotions take over at times, please allow the censor to do it's job. If you wish to circumvent the auto censor, go to W & C as Glockman so eloquently pointed out, and 'have a nut'.

Please keep it civil, folks. If one of us has to jump in here again, this thread will be locked down.

Thanks.

Good, I'm glad CN got some respect out of this mess, but am I supposed to take in your meaning that you wouldn't deal with me? I hope not. It would disappoint me a great deal if this mess would spoil my good reputation as an honest and fair dealer on this forum. I am, indeed, a fair and honest person and will continue to be.

Actually, just wrap yourself around his leg and start humping, theyre more used to that... :)

Don't mean that at all. You have not shown me any reason to think that you are in any way unethical or dishonest. All I hope is that you have learned to show a little more respect when posting about problems you are having. Next time it might be a good idea not to post something like this until you have cooled of a bit. I doubt that you would have titled your topic the way you did if you had been cooled off at the time you posted.
