I did. He didn't clarify, but he seemed offended that I was even asking the question.

Woke up to elk feeding right outside the guest bedroom window at my buddy's house yesterday morning.

Western Slimy Salamander. A little west of its native range. Not far west but still shocked to see it. NEVER have seen any kind of salamander here

How time goes by! Daisy and I've been camping since snowy April in what I call meadow camp.

Apparently there is much love amongst the pale tussock moth caterpillars for the terry towels hung on the tree by the "sink". Two or three per towel ...need flicking, before washing.

Well, Daisy and I will be overwintering here at meadow camp, or at worst we will be making one heck of an attempt at this effort to realize item #2 on my bucket list .. camping through the Canadian winter . Like us, this little critter is enjoying mild temps to take one last look around before freeze-up
