Man, I'm not "on about" anything, I was not agreeing with you, disagreeing with you... it was just a musing thought, about how its quite easy for somebody with military credentials to sell a knife that seems like it is, well... "military", like this M-16, and in reality, it's kind of an overpriced clunker. You wrote - "The most "Military" thing about these knives is that they're sold at virtually every Base and Post Exchange, because they're cheap. Yes, I know Mr. Carson is a retired Army veteran. Still: cheap knife. Wish they were better."
So, people buy the knives because of an association with military, right? Carson's a vet, and he's selling this knife, the M-16, to appeal to a certain base. He's making them out of pot metal, like you said, and they're selling for a hundred-whatever dollars because of that whole association. "The Special Forces G10 models share a unique design offering a combination of Carson M16 Series features requested by military procurement specialists.". Right? You were saying that the most military thing about 'em is they're at the PX - so I offered a musing, tangentially related thought.
I don't know why you're one of the most consistently crotchety people on this forum, though, I've had like ten interactions with you and I remember this just... hard, unfriendly vibe, every time. "I don't know what you're on about"? It was a dang remark, man. Your phrasing, though, is pointedly unfriendly. But why tho?
I just think its clear why I'd pick your comment to reply that to. Maybe text mistranslates tone, if so, my apologies. But I write this only after repeatedly getting this pointedly unfriendly, prickly vibe from you. It's a forum, man, expect some replies. I'd perhaps choose a friendlier way of addressing people who've done ya no offense. Now I'm on about something
