Wow great story.

You reminded me of something that almost made me "crap my pants". I was going out to my deer stand one morning and came upon some creatures I never expected. It was pitch black out, freezing cold, and amazingly still as I took the almost mile hike to my stand. I made it all the way to the tree I was going up in (I left my climber attached the night before) when 10 feet away from me either 2 raccoons or possums started to fight each other for their life. Talk about a nasty sounding creatures. Even though I knew it was two animals fighting that were the size of a football I still couldnt get up in my stand fast enough. Having a perfectly calm mile long hike end with that startled me to say the least.

Another time when I was camping a Florida Panther started screaming about 70 yards from my tent at 3 in the morning....talk about something that will wake you out of a dead sleep saying "OH S@%!!!"

It also sounds like your parents need to tell the police to patrol their property because of dealers and hookers. Before I got to the part about the dealers I was thinking "sounds rural but it would still be a good idea to have a gun close by". There are tons of crazy's out in the woods and I would feel much better with some sort of firearm around. Of course I have a few of my friends that are local cops joke with me that "I carry a gun more than they do". Even when I see them off duty they try to jokingly pat me down looking "fo mah for-tay".

Anyways you did a great job and it looks like you learned a lot!

Yea it freaks the hell out of ya, that is for sure.
there is an old oldmold rail road that runs through the property so i imagine that those people are driving or walking back their on to my parents property.
and yes i wish the police could be more involved in that area. alot of bad people.

WOW, great pics and excelent journal. Thank you for sharing.

When the two voices on the bridge were pointing their light at you was your fire out??
Also, in the picture with your feet near the water you are holding up a stick, is that fatwood (sure looks like it from the pic)??

yes, it was out. i made sure from then on out to keep my fire down and out early as to not attract any unwanted attention.
No its not, i brought only what i was allowed and tryed to abstain from to many unnatural items. honestly i just really wanted to be fair and respectable about this because with this being so loose in regards to rules and inforcement it is up to us as individuals to keep the honor system in fine form for this comp. (it is like in the gym, when you skip out or give up you are only cheating yourself. and i really wanted to learn the most from this, someday it could be for real.!) i dont know which pic you were talking about and im not to fimilar with "fatwood" i just googled it, but no.
i think you are ether talking about my fishing stick or my frog/fish/crawdad spear.

I was also wondering if losing 20 pounds would be the norm for most people.
I would not expect such a drastic amount of weight loss, it is important to remember that i am a competing bodybuilder currently in the middle to last legs of a bulking/ (gaining weight, higher caloric intake) so a lot of my body controls are set to eating every 2hrs. a normal meal. Roughly and drinking a min of 1gallon of water a day.
So don’t expect that.
And I could have avoided the weight loss by eating more and drinking more, there was an over abundance of food, which is to be expected considering the season and area.
Don’t worry.
Like I said earlier I will have that weight back on by the end of the week, I will post pics to prove it.
