CSC - Share your Canal Street Cutlery Knives

H Hoffmajo89 Thanks for your enthusiasm  The bone & jigging on that one is really attractive.

My understanding of the Crocus/Glaze finish is that it was a hallmark of superior grade and finished knives from American cutlers of the late c19th early c20th and it was a homage to that. Studying old catalogues can confirm this, certainly adds to production time and cost I'd imagine.

Some outstanding examples being shown in this revisited thread, good job everybody

Wow I’m very jealous of your half moon trappers, it’s possibly my favorite slip joint. I love the subtle elegance of it and especially the blade to handle ratio

Thank you for the info, that makes sense. It would definitely complicate the production process to have such a blade finish.

Love that Eric’s Jack. One of these days I’d like to track down one of the boys’ knife patterns, such a simple but well executed design.

Very cool, the work completed seems to customize without taking away from the overall “CSC-look” of the knife… At least that’s how my untrained eye sees it.
Yup!! Agreed!!! Just new handles, and filework!!
