CSC - Share your Canal Street Cutlery Knives

Good idea on a revival as these knives are quality. I got the Half Moonpie Trapper out a few weeks ago, some really nice bone on these, NS liners and a blade that has crocus polish mark side and glaze pile. A light pull will appeal to those with handling problems.

I also enjoy CSC knives, I wish I could find more of them, I only have this one fine example

What a spectacular color of bone on this one! So rich and mellow. I think one of my favorite things about their knives is the choice of materials.

Again, the color is so rich on the bone, and that jigging looks spectacular. I’ve seen this style of blade polish (polished mark side and satin pile side) on many CSC knives. My own whittler also has this. Any idea why? Maybe a nod to older times when this was more common? I’ve never heard an explanation other than, “just because.”

Always liked the Canal Street catalog and was fortunate to pick up a few.
The reclaimed American Chestnut series interested me like this Half Moon Trapper

I'll try and get back here before long with a couple more CSC favs. Great knives!

redsparrow redsparrow would absolutely be interested to see more of your CSC collection. That BF serpentine is something else, love how the shadow pattern is done here with polished and flush pivots. All around incredible stuff there. Wish I would’ve been around these parts back then, to pick on of these up.

NIce pair of CSC's! I love the reclaimed Chestnut covers -- they look great and add an interesting dimension. The shadow Bocote is beautiful! 😍

The quality is good for both!! It's not as easy for Eric to get materials, without the bigger company behind him, but he's always been dedicated to quality!! There's a little more variety in handles, in Eric's newer stuff!!

waynorth waynorth Charlie, how do you compare the Eric’s Jack to the new stuff coming out of Albers Cutlery?
