Cult of the peanut , members

I am not a fan of small dogs. I am very friendly with them, I am a dog person, but I grew up with labs, goldens, huskies. I like big dogs. The Jack Russell is the only small breed, unless my future bride would bring one with her, into my home.

Same with me man. If i cant put my hand down without bending over to pat a dogs head, then the dogs too small for me.

That isnt to say that i havent met fantastic dogs of smaller stature that ive loved dearly. If a dog came into my life that was a smaller breed i certainly wouldnt turn them away, but given the choice, ill take a pitbull, lab, or golden retriever any day of the week.

Yep. As with the peanut, my view of small dogs has softened a little. It's strange, the few peanuts I've gifted to friends and family and acquaintances, except for my father, they're not fans of small knives. I was very fortunate to be gifted with a single blade Case Damascus peanut, I saw my little brother using it, it's his "good knife" (unlike his modern knives I gave him or what he uses for work). His future in laws like it and got excited about it. One day I'm going to pass this peanut from Carl on to a good home with one from the inner circle of the cult, but I will have an old warrior to replace her. CV peanut, maybe a custom. Nice patina. Easy open. Well, my buddies that are woodsmen/women, the ones that are at home in camp, that carry big honking knives that look like they're going to take down a tree for a bench, knives that I like by the way. Some of them love the peanut. It's amazing how much appeal the little knives have.

Especially when you see it click for people, depending on what you do for a living, or in retirement, the peanut is all you need. I have knife ocd, so I have to carry something with the peanut...

I'm liking smaller dogs as I get older, because I'm getting to where I can't pick a Labrador sized dog up and set him in the truck seat or boat as well as I used to. I'm looking for a mid-sized dog with the personality of a Lab.

We were blessed with a Boston Terrier for 15 1/2 years. Don't think I have a dog life left, may adopt an older dog and it will probably be a small to medium sized one.

Peanut on the range today.

I think I need one of those but I don't know what for.
It's pretty heavy duty and water tight...the inside is fairly small, though. It's definitely big enough for a couple pills or a large one. I purchased the brass split ring at another online place just to keep the brass thing going...and because I like brass :)

Probably designed for a cyanide capsule, lol. I was thinking they'd make great Christmas gifts.

As would our beloved peanuts.

Actually, I got one for my wife as a Christmas gift. She typically doesn't like items on her Keychain, but uses this for our daughters meds. It makes a great key fob!
And, she is already starting to eyeball my peanut...

Work 'nut... At school, I have a job as a Barista and it is dead at the shop. So, a quick cup of joe and a strop at the end of the mug is in order.

Gents. If you want to have extended conversations about dogs or pill bottles, please go to "Community" or "Gadgets and Gear" and start a thread there, else you can hold the conversation via PM, VM, or email. This forum is for the discussion of knives.

Had this little red guy with me all this week, along with a Camillus Dura Tool for paint can duty while assisting a friend at his newly acquired fixer-upper house. The little peanut cut right through all the banding & plastic wrap on a pallet of flooring on the back of my truck with ease. Swish.
