Cult of the peanut , members

I don't recall seeing one. The whole beauty of the thing for me is, the choice of two different blades in one small package. The wider body for housing the two blades gives that slightly boxy feel that lets you get a better grip on the small knife for cutting above its weight class.

I use the pen for dirty work and the clip for food or medical uses.

I don't believe I will be able to meet those membership criteria ( arthritis/multiple joint replacements). My hunting days are over. I am with you on the dirty work for the pen and clean work for the clip. I alternate between a two blade yeller cv peanut and a single blade damascus peanut for EDC. I enjoy them both. Occasionally I will rotate in a Schrade carbon 12ot just because.

Whoa, those are cool! Haven't seen them before.
Thanks.. Having a hard time getting the green one to show true colors.. Its real nice..
And I think there was 1 more barehead.. They were S - - W exclusives..

It's great to see this pop up again. I think this was the first thread I found on Blade Forums when I was looking up info on my late dad's knives. Everyone seemed so excited about the 'nut, I eventually broke down and got a blue one. I like smalls, so the peanut was perfect. Recently, I got my second, in yellow cv. I haven't carried it much yet, but there's a cub scout meeting tonight. I generally don't take bone-handled knives to scouts. If anyone in my life is likely to need a knife for a quick task, it's a cub scout. Also, if anyone's likely to drop that knife on a hard surface, well you get the idea.

BullRome, very cool Peanut. I didn't know Case made a 3 blade Peanut, much less one with a serrated blade. Or one called Scout. You said the scales WERE blue, did you modify them, or is that due to aging, handling, pocket wear? Interesting looking scales, in any case. Sorry, no pun intended. Thanks for the photo.

My nut has been in my pocket for the past month after a long time in the drawer. Today I cleaned some heavy spotting off the blades, oiled her up and put a fresh edge on both. Plenty more miles to go…

I dropped my peanut on the driveway today. Fortunately no damage to the clip that was open, but I broke a chunk of the bone covers and put a second crack next to the other pin. Damn. Will find some superglue tomorrow to glue back in the broken piece. 😭
