This is my little group of "Nuts" from a happier time.

Attention all Cult members: important announcement.

Hereafter, any member of The Cult, referring to any Case peanut as "just a Case," will be put on double secret probation, and assigned custodial duties for the time of probation. Case peanuts are the pinnacle of peanut hierarchy, and all others are pretenders to the throne.

So it is written, so it will be done.

Carl, Grand High Muckba of The Cult of Case brand peanuts.

I'm sitting here laughing at this post (and some of the earlier ones), when I realize - it's not the knives, but YOU ARE THE NUT!

My new addition, not "just a case" but rather a Queen! Queen Rawhide Series 4220 to be exact...

Thought I better get in my entry to the cult before membership fills up . I got this little beauty over the weekend.

And a little beauty it is!:thumb up:

I love the amber bone, and have become very partial to it. It darkens as it ages, and I wish Case would do more with undyed bone. Maybe a mildly jigged natural bone with no dye at all.

Thank you Jack. I agree, while I really love the coloring on this one, I think the same jigging on the natural uncolored bone would be gorgeous.

Amber is my favorite Case bone offering. All these peanuts have me seriously thinking about just buying one, and I've got one picked out already, and this is causing a problem....every time I think about a paid membership, I go ahead and spend that money on a knife. It's really very difficult to do the right thing.:o

Hey Guys,
I'm new to the forums but I'm in the market for a new knife.
I've decided to go for the peanut as it can be made razor sharp without having to be ultra bulky in the pocket, my problem is that case offers so many handle materials that I'm spoiled for choice!
So far I've managed to narrow it down to three options
1. Classic Yeller Delrin handles with CV steel
2. Jigged Chestnut bone handles with CV steel
3. Root Beer bone handles with SS
Any suggestions? let me know what you think
Matt

Yeller CV should be your first. Then graduate to the Jigged chestnut bone in CV. Then look at stainless.

I have to second Woodrow. The yella handle and CV is about as classic a peanut as you can get. It has all the attributes of the mighty legume, and the darkening patina of the CV will give a great contrast with the yella scales.

Yep the "yella peanut" is as classic as it gets. Hands-down THE CLASSIC scale material for Case.

When I bought my Sodbuster Jr it didn't even enter my mind to get one in anything but "yella" CV. :)

Thanks for all the input guys, I was leaning towards the classic yella anyway and you guys convinced me overall, yella peanut it is then :D

The WORLD-Travelling Peanut has arrived!

At the beginning of the month I was fortunate to have won the Give-Away by our esteemed "quattromori" of this gorgeous Smooth Antique Bone SS Peanut... It just arrived today on it's long journey from Sardinia, Italy and WOW it's even more beautiful than it had been in the pics! The smooth Antique bone feels awesome to the touch and the blades are razor sharp. I instantly came to admire this little wonder. :)

Into my watch pocket it went and now it will continue it's travels here in southern California and Arizona where I live and spend my time. Prior to it's days with quattromori it had been in Finland in fact - so I'm humbled to have taken this world traveler into my life. It's a very sweet little companion and feels so pleasant in hand. It's adventures will now continue! :)

With this I would now like to humbly submit my Official Application to the Cult of the Peanut... :)

That is a beautiful little knife!:thumbup::thumb up:

Iwish Case would do more plain unjigged bone. Bone is such a nice medium, and without the jigging it's more likely to show aging. I know the unjigged portion of my amber bone 'nut has colored from hand oils and other factors, and has taken a darker character. Now, if only they would leave off the shield on such a small scale.

By the way, your application to The Cult is heartily accepted! Welcome brother.:D
