Cult of the peanut , members

That came out really nice r8shell, I've got try that on something else I have, my dremel is one of my favorite tools in my shop I've had mine for 25 years and is still going strong, now to find something to make an EO out of, I only have 3 old peanuts and I'm not brave enough to try on one of those, I like them too much now thanks to you fine Nut Heads. ;)

BTW biggest job to date for my little nut, used it to cut the rubber gasket so I could remove the windshield from a car in the junkyard for my buddy, it did right through the rubber, took less than 2 minutes to cut all the way around and then used the main blade to get under the glass to feed the piano wire through to cut through the adhesive tape.

The guy in the yard was so impressed, he said it was faster than his $200 hot wire set up meant for removing windshields. He asked me what kind of knife it was and I proudly told him, "...it's a peanut" he showed me his yard knife some cheap tactical 1lb sharpened prybar. He said when he got off work he was going to the tractor supply store to buy one.

I believe I converted someone, am I getting closer to becoming a cult member, I'm bringing in converts now. ;)

Last night at my mom moms viewing, my great aunt couldn't get an after dinner mint package open. My father couldn't get it and he passed it to me. She said oh he's got a knife. Expecting a big honking Bowie, I pulled my little Remington peanut from my pocket and cut the pkg and gave it back to her.

Today, I used my two blade Damascus nut to cut a thread off my brand new sport coat at the funeral.

Thank you Carl.

Get yourself a RR peanut for a nut sized price and have a shot :)

Well I had the warmest welcome into the cult of the peanut.

I started a thread about finding the perfect peanut and a member sent me a email and said he had one and would send it to me..

I asked what he wanted for it and he said he would just send it to me..

So, I got this beauty and a perfect example of Peanut from Ferdinand. Perfectly centered blades, no blade play, back spring flush when in half stop.

This introduction really gave me a perspective about what this forum is all about and I hope to pass that on.

Thanks Ferdinand!!!!

You need to read the official Cult pamphlet on the care and feeding of the peanut. It will outline the pleasure and dangers of being a peanut carrier. They need a modicum more care than a regular pocket knife because of the pugnacious attitude of "the little guy" syndrome. The thin blades take a scalpel like edge, and are dangerous to the owner if not handled with the proper respect. But more than likely, they often give a little love nip when meeting a new owner, giving notice they demand respect in turn for the many years of loyal cutting performance they will give you.

Colubrid,

Welcome to the family and major Kudos to Ferdinand for the incredibly kind gesture.

May you enjoy your Peanut for many, many years.

Welcome Cali! My Polish/Lithuanian grandfather would say, I believe I am butchering this, pochecki, look at this, to get our attention or get us to stop doing something when we were kids. How do you say, hey, look at this great peanut, in Polish?

Here's my favorite Peanut. It was a Father's Day gift last year. I carry it every Sunday to church and often throughout the rest of the week. The Damascus takes a great edge and cuts like nobody's business. I have a yellow delrin CV that I carry a lot too. They're just great little knives with an appeal all their own.
