I can't find the group?I have just started a Facebook group called the Cult of the Peanut. All peanut owners are welcome. Carl, you are the headman of the group, I will add you as an admin. You must have a peanut to join. Unlike Slipjoint Addict, no sales are allowed, this group is just for pics and musings on peanuts. I hope to see you there.
The Admins will be known as the Order of the Peanut. Imagine the Three Musketeers with peanuts instead of rapiers....
Pete, that 'nut is looking better every time you show it!!:thumbup::thumb up:
With such dedication to the 'nut, you deserve to be an officer of The Cult!
Carl, Grand High Muckba in sprit.

I'm honored, but what's a higher rank? Officer or Guardian?

Oh of course an officer is higher up. You're getting promoted for the dedication you have shown in the steadfast loyalty to The Cult. A guardian is still sort of a rank and file, but the officer is another level. In the next few days, the man with the Fez will call on you to give you the key to the inner sanctum. Or maybe the midget, if the man with the Fez isn't back yet.
Oh, just don't ask him "whats up?" He's sensitive about elevation!
Carl, Grand High Mucba with issues.
Spreading the good word today and trying to convert the people. You can lug around a big frame lock flipper because they're cool to play with but when you need something cut with a little concentration pull out that peanut.
I couldn't resist giving it a try: The Easy Open Peanut.
Technically, I don't think it's an Easy Open knife unless you can pinch the blade. Being a two bladed jack, what I really did was just give the pen side an exaggerated nail relief. What really makes it easier to open is that I cut a long pull on the pen blade. This lets you lift it out from a spot farther from the pivot.
I wish I could have done a neater job cutting the pull, but it does work.
I could go a little bigger with the nail relief, but I have to be careful not to go deeper than the width of the blade or you'd be cutting off your thumbnail.I just gave it a try, and I can pinch it open if I don't mind the blade rubbing the liner from sideways pressure.
I haven't done anything to the clip side. What do y'all think?
ETA: Carl, if you're interested in trying this out, to see if it works for you, let me know.
I've resorted to pulling "down" on the pen blade instead of "up" like on the clip. So far so good!Pretty cool idea... that pen blade is a bit of stinker to get a good grip on and the pull is pretty strong on both my Peanuts.
I humbly submit my request to join the Cult of the Peanut.
