current production schedule updates.

I, for one, already have 2 GSO 5.1s, and I have no need for another. But I think that I will have to pull the trigger on one as soon as general ordering opens up. And the GSO 8 is gaining ground! Put your orders in everyone. Bring the 8 TO THE FONT OF THE LINE!

Check out the new S! Gear here:

Here is the production schedule, to give you a better idea of where each GSO model is at in the production line:

GSO-5: Sold out. Orders will be shipping out through early November.
Necker II: These sold out a bit sooner than we expected. There may be a few more in stock in a few weeks, after orders have been fulfilled.
GSO-5.1: The blades are in our workshop. We are starting to see handles for these, preorders will start shipping soon.
GSO-4.7: At heat treat
GSO-2.7: At production grinding
GSO-4.1: Waiting on extra sheets of steel, then getting cut
Once models start production they will no longer be available for preorder. Production will begin on the remaining models in the following order:

GSO-7/7: Up next for production!
GSO-3.5
GSO-12
Once the above models have all started production, SURVIVE! will determine a production order for the remaining GSO knives:

GSO-4.5 Bushcraft Knife
GSO-6
GSO-8
GSO-10
Necker
The SK Series has not been forgotten. Those models will begin production once final R&D has been completed.

Just ordered a 3.5, guess it's going to be awhile! Good things come to those who wait right!

so far the only one i have on order is a 3.5 I think it looks like a crazy quality blade. I want to get into the bigger ones as well, just have to decide which ones...

I have a 3.5 on order also, we need to rally for the 3.5. I'm suprised it's so far back.
I've got a 3.5 also on order. I'd be curious to see what the actual pre-order numbers were for each of the starter models. I was surprised also that it didn't do as well as some of the others, especially considering the 3.5 was an established model. I would have thought it would beat out the 2.7 at least. Maybe people saw the 2.7 as a potential neck knife or something. Oh well - my 5.1 will be here soon enough :-)

i figured since it was one of the last runs of the original line people were less excited for the new one. Some of the new styles or ones that hadn't been around for a while might have been more enticing? Either way I am excited for it!

Order a 6 redwood22, we need to get it moved up on the schedule!

once i get through the holidays I think that's what will happen :)

YES YES YES!!!!!!

I'd love to see the 6 move to the top of the list. Followed by the 10! To be fair, I suppose all you bushcrafters shouldn't have to wait too long. Let's all unanimously agree that the 6 should be first, then the 4.5, then 10 or 8. Agreed? Agreed!

Also, as glad as I am that the 4.7 is next (:D:D:D) I'm surprised it beat out the 4.1.

I don't mind on waiting on the 4.5. I want one I'm just not ready to jump in and get it yet. I'm gonna hold out till the last second.

Yeah I think redwood has this right. I squeaked in on that run or I'd be all over a 3.5 preorder.

I would have pre-ordered a 2.7, if I hadn't taken so long to man up! I also wish I could have gotten in on the 4.7, but I was suffering from that same case of manlessness.

Guess I have to settle for the 4.1 and the 7/7...for now...

Sorry for your dilemma man. But I have to tell you, I have both of those knives, and there is nothing that you cannot do with those two that you can do with a knife. Yea having a pocket folder would be nice, and perhaps a behemoth chopper, but those two knives will get it done, period.
